Jaxen Adam signs with Tri-City
KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 2007-born defenseman Jaxen Adam to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Adam, from Cochrane, Alta., was drafted in the fifth round, 90th overall, by the Americans in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft. He was selected after posting 13 points (5-8-13) in 32 games with the Aidrie Xtreme U15 team in 2021-22.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Adam skated with the U18 Airdrie Bisons last season, posting seven points (1-6-7) while racking up 70 penalty minutes in 34 games. He also appeared in two games with the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Grand Prairie Storm, recording one assist.
“We are excited that Jaxen and his family have chosen the Americans for his hockey development,” said Tory. “He is a stay-at-home, physical defenseman with excellence size and skating ability.”
Adam will spend the 2023-24 season playing for the Calgary IHA U-18 team in the CSSHL.
