Hutcheson to represent Canada for first time at 2025 FISU Winter World University Games
Former Sudbury Wolves forward Nolan Hutcheson is honoured to represent Canada for the first time at the 2025 FISU Winter World University Games in Torino, Italy.
Hutcheson is one of 22 CHL alumni that will suit up for Canada on they attempt to defend their gold medal for 2023.
“It’s the first time I’ve ever put on a maple leaf to represent Canada,” Hutcheson said. “I’m honoured and it’s special to be part of a team like this.”
The 24-year-old played 183 games with Sudbury from 2017-2020 and tallied 89 points (47 goals). He is currently in his fourth year with Queen’s where his 16 goals are the second most this season among USPORTS skaters. His 46 career goals are the fifth most in program history.
Hockey at the 2025 FISU Winter World University Games takes place from Jan. 11-22. The full schedule and results can be found here.
