Armada icon Fauchon healthy and ready to lead Oceanic in pursuit of the Memorial Cup
Rimouski’s Jonathan Fauchon currently leads the QMJHL scoring race this season with 94 points in 59 games.
But earlier this season, the 20-year-old set a significant record by becoming the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada franchise. Before being traded to the Oceanic, Fauchon departed the Armada with 220 points to surpass the previous record held by Luke Henman (214 points).
But it hasn’t always been easy health-wise for the Levis, QC., native. The former Armada captain is coming back from a major back injury suffered last season that prevented him from being at 100 per cent throughout the campaign. Now fully recovered, he is ready to lead his team in pursuit of the 2025 Memorial Cup that is being held by Rimouski in May.
