2025-26 CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott: Week 23
The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) today unveiled its Week 23 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott for the 2025-26 season.
The Everett Silvertips continue to set the standard at the top after becoming the first team in the CHL to reach the 50-win mark this season. A three-game sweep improved their record to 50-7-2-1, highlighted by an 8-3 win over Kamloops and tight victories against Seattle (3-2 OT) and Wenatchee (6-4). Kraken prospect Julius Miettinen delivered a statement week with 11 points (7G, 4A), including a five-point performance versus the Blazers, while the club extended its dominant post-holiday stretch to 22-2-0-0 over its last 24 games. With back-to-back 50-win seasons for just the second time in franchise history, Everett continues to lead the national conversation.
Climbing and holding firm near the top, the Prince Albert Raiders collected three of four possible points to move to 45-8-5-1, securing 17 of a possible 20 points over their last 10 outings. Their blue line has become a major offensive driver, as rookie Brock Cripps pushed his season total to 34 points while projected first-round NHL Draft pick Daxon Rudolph continues to climb the WHL defenceman scoring race. In the QMJHL, the Chicoutimi Saguenéens responded to a rare loss with explosive back-to-back wins of 13-1 and 10-3, marking their highest single-game goal total since 1993. Anaheim Ducks prospect Maxim Massé sits at 46 goals on the season and is closing in on the 50-goal plateau, while Thomas Desruisseaux’s 10-point week kept the Saguenéens neck-and-neck with Moncton atop the East.
Elsewhere in the rankings, the Moncton Wildcats remain firmly in the QMJHL title chase after a 2-1 week, powered by captain Caleb Desnoyers’ nine-point performance and continued production from Boston College commit Gavin Cornforth. In the OHL, the Kitchener Rangers returned to the Top 5 with a perfect 3-0 week, clinching their division while Christian Humphreys and Dylan Edwards paced a balanced offensive attack. The Brantford Bulldogs maintained control atop the Eastern Conference behind Jake O’Brien’s steady leadership, while the Barrie Colts officially locked up the Central Division title as Cole Beaudoin continues a career-best campaign and Kashawn Aitcheson builds on his Defenceman of the Month honours.

Everett Silvertips (WHL): The Everett Silvertips (50-7-2-1) completed a three-game sweep this week with a commanding win over the Kamloops Blazers (8-3) and two tightly contested games versus the Seattle Thunderbirds (3-2 OT) and the Wenatchee Wild (6-4). Everett is the first team in the CHL to reach the 50-win mark this season, marking just the second time in franchise history they have achieved the feat. They have also secured 50 wins in back-to-back seasons.Kraken prospect Julius Meittinen had an outstanding week, recording 7 goals and 4 assists for 11 points in three games. This included a five-point night with a hat trick against Kamloops and WHL Top Performer of the Night honours on the 1st of the month after a four-point effort (2G, 2A). This brings Julius’ season totals to 70 points (30G, 40A), ranking second in team scoring behind rookie Matias Vanhanen.The 2025 first-round Import Draft pick has gone above and beyond expectations in his NHL Draft year. This week, he produced 3 goals and 7 assists for 10 points, bringing his season totals to 81 points (19G, 62A). Everett has continued its dominance since the calendar turned, posting a 22-2-0-0 record over its last 24 games.

2. Prince Albert Raiders (WHL): Prince Albert (45-8-5-1) secured three of a possible four points this week in two tightly contested games against Penticton (2-3 SO L) and Prince George (4-3). While they came up just short in the shootout versus the Vees, the Raiders responded with a strong bounce-back win over the Cougars. Over their last 10 games, Prince Albert has collected 17 of a possible 20 points (8-1-0-1), continuing to solidify its position as one of the top teams in the WHL.The story this week for Prince Albert was its high-scoring defencemen Rookie Brock Cripps is proving he belongs at this level and continues to impress with his poise and offensive instincts. The 2027 NHL Draft prospect recorded a pair of assists this week, bringing his season totals to 34 points (5G, 29A). Meanwhile, 2026 Top-10 North American prospect Daxon Rudolph led the team in scoring this week with 3 points (1G, 2A) in two games. The Lacombe, Alberta native ranks third among WHL defencemen in scoring and continues to elevate his draft stock with his strong two-way play, skating ability, and offensive production. Rudolph projects as a solid first-round pick in this year’s NHL Draft and remains a key piece of Prince Albert’s blue line as the playoffs approach.

3. Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL):The Chicoutimi Saguenéens (42-9-3-2) posted a 2-1 record this week, including a tough 3-1 loss to Sherbrooke. Following that game, Head Coach Yanick Jean must have delivered a wake-up call, as Chicoutimi responded with dominant wins of 13-1 against Drummondville and 10-3 versus Rimouski. The 13-goal performance against Drummondville marked the most goals scored by the Saguenéens in a single game since 1993. Anaheim Ducks prospect Maxim Massé contributed 5 goals and 2 assists this week, with four of those goals coming in the Drummondville game. Massé continues his MVP-caliber season, sitting second in league scoring with 81 points (46G, 35A) and second in goals with 46. At this pace, he could reach the 50-goal mark for the first time in his QMJHL career. Thomas Desruisseaux led the way for Chicoutimi this week with 10 points (2G, 8A) in three games. With eight games remaining, Chicoutimi sits one point ahead of Moncton for first place in the East. The Saguenéens will not face the Wildcats again this season and will look to secure valuable home-ice advantage over the coming weeks, beginning with a three-game homestand.

4. Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL): The Moncton Wildcats (42-10-2-2) went 2-1 this week with wins over Val-d’Or (8-2) and Gatineau (5-1), along with a tough 5-3 loss to Rouyn-Noranda. This marks the sixth consecutive week Moncton has ranked in the Top 5, and they appear to be peaking at the right time. Captain Caleb Desnoyers led the way with 9 points (2G, 7A) in three games. After a delayed start to the season due to wrist surgery in August, the Mammoth fourth-overall pick has been outstanding. Desnoyers ranks third in team scoring with 65 points (18G, 47A) in 37 games — 20 fewer games than the team leaders. Boston College commit Gavin Cornforth had a strong week with 7 points (4G, 3A) in three games. Since arriving from BC, Cornforth has added 26 points (11G, 15A) in 21 games. He will be a key piece as Moncton pushes for back-to-back QMJHL championships and another Gilles-Courteau Trophy.

5. Kitchener Rangers (OHL): The Kitchener Rangers (42-12-4-2) were perfect this week, defeating Guelph (5-4), Brampton (8-2), and London (4-1). The Rangers return to the Top 5 for the first time since Week 3. With the division clinched, Kitchener continues to be a force in the OHL and sits just one point behind the Brantford Bulldogs. Colorado Avalanche prospect Christian Humphreys had a four-point night in Guelph (1G, 3A), including the game-winning goal off a great pass from Dylan Edwards. Edwards also had a strong week, recording 7 points, with three coming in Guelph. The Rangers have been one of the OHL’s most consistent teams over the past three years, winning 40-plus games in three consecutive seasons for the first time since 2005–08. As the playoffs approach, they will look to continue that success and capture the Ross Robertson Cup for the first time since 2008.

6. Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL): The Medicine Hat Tigers (42-9-5-3) were perfect in Week 23, winning all three of their games in impressive fashion. They opened with a high-scoring 10-6 victory over Edmonton before sweeping a back-to-back against the Calgary Hitmen (8-3, 3-2 OT). The Tigers’ offensive depth continues to overwhelm opponents, especially in crucial divisional matchups. NHL Draft-eligible forward Markus Ruck had a standout week, registering 8 points (1G, 7A) in three games. Ruck now leads the WHL in scoring with 88 points (17G, 71A) and is within striking distance of the 90-point milestone. His playmaking ability has been a driving force behind Medicine Hat’s attack all season. Bryce Pickford also made a major impact, recording 3 goals and 3 assists, including the overtime winner against Calgary. With nine games remaining, Medicine Hat remains within reach of Prince Albert for top spot in the Eastern Conference, setting up a compelling finish to the regular season.

7. Brantford Bulldogs (OHL): The Brantford Bulldogs (41-9-7-2) continued their strong run atop the Eastern Conference with two wins this week over Brampton (5-4) and Oshawa (7-3). As the playoff race tightens, Brantford has maintained its offensive consistency and composure in high-pressure moments. Captain Jake O’Brien led the way with 5 points (1G, 4A) in two games. The Kraken prospect now has 77 points (24G, 53A) in 45 games and continues to be the engine of the Bulldogs’ offence. His vision and leadership will be critical as the postseason approaches. Minnesota Wild prospect Adam Benak added 4 assists this week and continues to impress in his first OHL season. With 63 points (23G, 40A) in 39 games, Benak has seamlessly transitioned to the league and provided another dynamic scoring option. Brantford currently leads the league in offence and faces a pivotal showdown against Barrie this week with first place in the conference on the line.

8. Barrie Colts (OHL): The Barrie Colts (41-12-2-4) officially clinched the Central Division title this week and remain firmly in the hunt for first place in the Eastern Conference. They went 1-1 in Week 23, earning an overtime win over Sarnia (2-1) before falling 3-0 to Windsor. Prior to the loss, Barrie had matched Flint for the league’s longest winning streak at 11 games, highlighting the club’s strong second-half surge. Co-captain Cole Beaudoin accounted for both of Barrie’s goals this week and continues to produce at a career-best pace. The Utah prospect leads the team with 79 points (28G, 51A) in 46 games and remains one of the OHL’s most reliable two-way forwards. Defenceman Kashawn Aitcheson added two assists this week after being named OHL Defenceman of the Month for February, where he tallied 17 points (4G, 13A) in 10 games. With a crucial matchup against Brantford looming, the Colts have an opportunity to make a major statement in the conference race.

9. Penticton Vees (WHL): It was a historic week for the Penticton Vees (39-13-4-4), who went 3-1 with impressive victories over Swift Current (3-1), Moose Jaw (4-1), and Prince Albert (3-2 SO). Their only setback came in a competitive 5-3 loss to Saskatoon. Overage forwards led the charge offensively. Matteo Danis recorded 4 goals and 2 assists during a busy four-game stretch and is enjoying the best season of his CHL career, now sitting at 51 points (26G, 25A) in 57 games. Brady Birnie paced the team with 7 points (2G, 5A) in four contests, providing leadership and steady production. Adding to the milestone week, overage forward Ryden Everss signed his entry-level contract with the Seattle Kraken. Evers has posted 69 points (31G, 38A) in 60 games and has been a key contributor all season. With a strong veteran presence and balanced scoring, the Vees are building momentum heading toward the playoffs.

10. Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL): The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (35-15-5-1) split their two games this week, earning a decisive 7-1 win over Rimouski before falling 7-4 to Charlottetown. Despite the split, the offence continues to trend upward at the right time. Justin Carbonneau , selected ninth overall in last year’s NHL Draft, had a remarkable week with 6 goals and 1 assist in two games, recording hat tricks in both contests. He now leads the QMJHL with 48 goals and is on pace to become the first player in the CHL to reach the 50-goal mark this season. Carbonneau was also named to the Team of the Week for his dominant performances. Vegas Golden Knights prospect Mateo Nobert contributed 4 assists this week and has surpassed his previous career high in points, now sitting at 71 (25G, 46A). Ranked third in the league in goals per game (4.24), the Armada boast one of the QMJHL’s most dynamic offences and will look to carry that momentum into the postseason.
