2025-26 CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott: Week 2
The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) today unveiled its Week 2 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott for the 2025-26 season.
The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (4-0-0-0) of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) holds No. 1 for a second straight week after extending their perfect start, led by NHL prospects Jakub Milota and Arseni Radkov in goal and a CHL-best eight assists from Vincent Desjardins. Right behind, the Windsor Spitfires (5-0-0-0) of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) remain unbeaten with the CHL’s top goal differential (+19), while the Brantford Bulldogs (2-0-1-0) climb to No. 3 on the strength of Caleb Malhotra’s five-point performance in a 7-2 win over Sudbury.
Further down, the 2026 Memorial Cup hosts, the Kelowna Rockets (2-1-0-0) of the Western Hockey League (WHL), rose two spots to No. 8 after sweeping Penticton, powered by 2025 CHL Import Draft first-overall pick Tomas Poletin’s three goals and four points in his debut weekend. At No. 10, the Owen Sound Attack (4-0-0-0) of the OHL entered the rankings after extending their undefeated streak to four games, backstopped by the stellar tandem of Carter George and Trenten Bennett, including a 5-2 win over No. 6 Kitchener.

CHL Top-10 Rankings – Week 2
1. Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL): The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (4-0-0-0) remain in top spot of the CHL Top-10 Rankings for a second straight week after extending their undefeated start to the 2025-26 season. One of just three CHL teams with four wins, the Armada boasts a +15 goal differential that trails only the No.2-ranked Windsor Spitfires CHL-wide. This past week, Blainville-Boisbriand earned a 4-1 victory over Shawinigan before doubling Victoriaville 8-4, thanks in part to standout goaltending performances from Nashville Predators prospect Jakub Milota, who stopped 34 of 35 shots in his debut, and Montreal Canadiens prospect Arseni Radkov, who made 45 saves in his first appearance with the club. Up front, 19-year-old Vincent Desjardins led the way with back-to-back multi-point efforts, extending his point streak to four games while pacing the CHL with eight assists. With St. Louis Blues’ 2025 first-rounder Justin Carbonneau and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Spencer Gill set to return this week, the Armada will look to continue their home-ice dominance against Charlottetown and Gatineau.
Games this week: vs. Charlottetown (Oct. 3), vs. Gatineau (Oct. 5)
2. Windsor Spitfires (OHL): The Windsor Spitfires (5-0-0-0) remain ranked No. 2 in the CHL Top-10 Rankings for a second straight week after a dominant stretch that saw them win three games by a combined margin of 11-2. Windsor is now the CHL’s only five-win team and one of just seven clubs still undefeated, boasting the league’s best goal differential at +19 while averaging 4.6 goals per game. Up front, 2026 NHL Draft prospect Beksultan Makysh extended his point streak to five games, collecting two goals and two assists last week to bring his season total to seven points, two shy of the OHL lead. He was joined by fellow 2026 NHL Draft prospect Ethan Garden and 19-year-old Carson Woodall, both of whom had strong offensive performances this past week to bring their season totals to seven points apiece. Between the pipes, 20-year-old veteran Joey Costanzo was named the Mary Brown’s OHL Goaltender of the Week after going 2-0 with a 0.50 goals-against average, a .980 save percentage, and a shutout — including a 17-save blanking of Sudbury and a 31-save effort in Barrie where he stopped 19 third-period shots. With Chicago Blackhawks prospect AJ Spellacy set to return, the Spitfires will look to stay perfect as they face their toughest test yet against Niagara on Thursday before visiting Brantford and Owen Sound to battle the No. 3-ranked Bulldogs and No. 10-ranked Attack.
Games this week: vs. Niagara (Oct. 2), @ Brantford (Oct. 4), @ Owen Sound (Oct. 5
3. Brantford Bulldogs (OHL): The Brantford Bulldogs (2-0-1-0) jumped up a couple of spots to No. 3 in the CHL Top-10 Rankings this week after a dominant 7-2 victory over the Sudbury Wolves in their lone game. Leading the way was 2026 NHL Draft prospect Caleb Malhotra, who erupted for five points with two goals and three assists, including the game-winning tally on the power play and a shorthanded setup of Adam Benak’s first OHL goal. Malhotra’s performance earned him OHL Rookie of the Week honours, and his eight points through three games leave him just one shy of the OHL lead. Meanwhile, Minnesota Wild prospect Adam Benak enjoyed a memorable debut with four points, highlighted by a spectacular between-the-legs shorthanded goal. Winnipeg Jets prospect Edison Engle chipped in with two assists in his first OHL outing as well. With St. Louis Blues prospect Adam Jiricek returning to the lineup, the Bulldogs will look to keep rolling as they close out their four-game homestand against the Petes on Friday before a marquee clash with the No. 2-ranked Windsor Spitfires on Saturday.
Games this week: vs. Peterborough (Oct. 3), vs. Windsor (Oct. 4)
4. Spokane Chiefs (WHL): The Spokane Chiefs (2-1-0-0) jumped up a couple of spots to No. 4 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after blanking the Tri-City Americans 3-0 in their lone game of the week. 2027 NHL Draft prospect Carter Esler stole the spotlight, stopping all 19 shots he faced for his first career WHL shutout and improving to a 1.00 goals-against average and .965 save percentage through two starts — marks that rank second in the CHL behind only Windsor’s Joey Costanzo. Up front, top 2026 NHL Draft prospect Mathis Preston continued his strong start with his third goal of the season, pushing his totals to seven points (3G-4A) through three games, placing him among the WHL’s top-five scorers. St. Louis Blues prospect Will McIsaac and Winnipeg Jets prospect Owen Martin, both making their 2025-26 debuts after NHL camps, added their first goals of the season to round out the scoring. Spokane will now look to build on its momentum with back-to-back home games against the Prince George Cougars this weekend.
Games this week: vs. Prince George (Oct. 3), vs. Prince George (Oct. 4)
5. Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL): The Edmonton Oil Kings (2-1-0-0) slipped a couple of spots to No. 5 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings following a 6-3 setback against the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday. Despite being outshot by only a narrow 37-31 margin, Edmonton faltered in the third period, managing just one goal on five shots while surrendering four unanswered tallies on 13 attempts. Colorado Avalanche prospect Max Curran marked his return from NHL camp with his first goal of the season, while 2026 NHL Draft prospect Joe Iginla provided a bright spot by leading the way offensively with a goal and an assist. The Oil Kings will get another boost this week as Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Miroslav Holinka rejoins the lineup, ahead of a challenging three-game road trip through Regina, Moose Jaw, and Brandon.
Games this week: @ Regina (Oct. 1), @ Moose Jaw (Oct. 3), @ Brandon (Oct. 4)
6. Kitchener Rangers (OHL): The Kitchener Rangers (3-1-0-0) slipped two spots to No. 6 in the CHL Top-10 Rankings after splitting their games this past week. On Friday, the Rangers welcomed back six players from NHL camps and cruised to a 5-2 win over Erie, led by Colorado Avalanche prospect Christian Humphreys, who recorded three assists, and Nashville Predators 2025 first-rounder Cameron Reid, who chipped in two helpers just hours after being named the 60th captain in franchise history. Tanner Lam also stood out with his second multi-goal game of the young season. However, Kitchener ran into trouble on Saturday, falling 5-2 to the No. 10-ranked Owen Sound Attack as Los Angeles Kings prospect Carter George stopped 27 of 29 shots and the Rangers’ penalty kill surrendered four goals on seven chances. Kitchener will look to bounce back and avenge that loss this week when they host the undefeated Attack in their lone game at The Aud.
Game this week: vs. Owen Sound (Oct. 3)
7. Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL): The Chicoutimi Saguenéens (2-1-0-1) remain ranked No. 7 in the CHL Top-10 Rankings for a second straight week after collecting three of four points during a weekend trip to Rimouski. Following a 5-4 shootout setback against the Océanic on Saturday, the Sags bounced back with a 3-1 win the next day, led by Anaheim Ducks prospects Maxim Massé, who scored twice on Saturday before netting the game-winner on Sunday, and Émile Guité, who tallied in both contests. Forward Nathan Lecompte added assists in each game to extend his point streak to three, and he now leads Chicoutimi in scoring this season with six points (1G-5A). In goal, 18-year-old Mathias Hernandez earned first-star honours after stopping all 31 shots in relief to secure Sunday’s victory. The Sags now head to the Maritimes for back-to-back games in Cape Breton before wrapping up the week in Saint John.
Games this week: @ Cape Breton (Oct. 2), @ Cape Breton (Oct. 3), @ Saint John (Oct. 5)
8. Kelowna Rockets (WHL): The Kelowna Rockets (2-1-0-0), hosts of the 2026 Memorial Cup, climbed to No. 8 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after back-to-back wins over their Okanagan rivals, the Penticton Vees. The Rockets rallied from a three-goal deficit in the Vees’ WHL home opener on Saturday to earn a 5-4 victory, then followed it up with a 3-2 shootout win the next night in Kelowna. New York Islanders prospect Tomas Poletin, the first overall pick in the 2025 CHL Import Draft, made an immediate impact in his debut weekend, scoring twice in his first game before adding another goal and assist on Sunday. Nashville Predators prospect Hiroki Gojsic also contributed with a point in each contest, while the Rockets’ lineup is set to get even stronger this week with the return of San Jose Sharks prospect Carson Wetsch. Kelowna now has the week off before returning to action with three games in four nights — visiting Prince George on October 8, hosting Seattle on October 10, and heading back to Penticton on October 11 for another rivalry matchup.
Games this week: N/A
9. Everett Silvertips (WHL): The Everett Silvertips (2-0-1-0) remain steady at No. 9 in the CHL Top-10 Rankings for a second straight week after collecting three of four possible points over the weekend. Everett opened with a 4-1 road win over Wenatchee before falling 3-2 in overtime to Portland. Seattle Kraken prospect Julius Miettinen made an immediate impact in his season debut, scoring twice — including the game-winner — against the Wild and adding an assist against the Winterhawks, while Finnish import Matias Vanhanen chipped in with three helpers alongside him. Top 2027 NHL Draft prospect Landon DuPont also picked up his first point of the season in Saturday’s win, setting up Anaheim Ducks prospect Tarin Smith for his first goal of the year. Between the pipes, Raiden LeGall built on a strong rookie campaign by turning aside 31 of 32 shots for his second win of the season before making 27 saves in the OT loss. He enters the week with a 2.26 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage through three starts in 2025-26. Everett now returns home to host Tri-City and Victoria this weekend before visiting the Americans in Kennewick on Sunday.

10. Owen Sound Attack (OHL): The Owen Sound Attack are making their 2025-26 CHL Top-10 debut this week, climbing into the rankings at No. 10 as one of just three CHL teams to remain undefeated with at least four wins. The Attack strung together three more victories over the past week, edging Barrie 2-1 in a shootout, defeating Kitchener 5-2 at home, and rallying the next night for a 5-4 win against the Colts. Their success has been anchored by stellar goaltending from Los Angeles Kings prospect Carter George and New Jersey Devils prospect Trenten Bennett, who have combined to form one of the CHL’s strongest tandems. Bennett made 45 saves to spoil London’s banner-raising night in the season opener, then added 14 more in relief against Barrie on Sunday, while George posted 50 saves across two starts last week, allowing just three goals in wins over the Colts and Rangers. Up front, 18-year-old Tristan Delisle has points in four straight games to tie for the team lead with four points, joined by three teammates, including Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Harry Nansi. The Attack will look to keep their perfect start going this week in a rematch against the No. 6-ranked Rangers in Kitchener.
