CHL Top-10 Rankings – Week 14
1. Everett Silvertips (WHL): The Silvertips head into the Holiday break as the no. 1 team in the CHL thanks to a seven-game winning streak. This past week they took down Wenatchee 3-2 and then defeated Prince George 3-2 in overtime thanks to Landon DuPont’s winner. Everett’s 27 wins tie a franchise record for the most before the Holiday break while their 57 are the most. The Silvertips’ 27 wins, 57 points, .864 winning percentage and three regulation losses also lead the CHL.
Games this week: @Seattle (Dec. 27), vs. Seattle (Dec. 28)
2. Chicoutimi Sagueneens (QMJHL): The Sags will head into the break as the top ranked QMJHL side after they climbed to a season high no. 2 in the rankings. Last week, the Sagueneens toppled Rimouski twice by a combined 14-3 scoreline to push their winning streak to six games. Chicoutimi’s 22 wins are tied for the most in the Q while their 49 points, 148 goals, 83 goals against and 32.5 per cent power play lead all clubs. When they return to the ice they will have an even more potent lineup after the addition of Utah Mammoth prospect Tomas Lavoie from Cape Breton as well as Alexis Bernier and Mavrick Lachance.
Games this week: @Blainville-Boisbriand (Dec. 28), @Quebec (Dec. 29)
3. Brantford Bulldogs (OHL): For the second straight week the Bulldogs drop a spot as they come in at no. 3 after road losses to Kingston (4-2) and Ottawa (6-0). Stunningly, their only five regulation loses of the season have come in their last 10 games. Nevertheless, Brantford’s .773 winning percentage, 154 goals and 36.6 per cent power play leads the OHL while they rank third in wins (25) and points (51). With the 2026 World Juniors about to get underway, the Bulldogs have arguably been hit hardest with five NHL prospects representing the team although they did get back Jake O’Brien (SEA) and Marek Vanacker (CHI) after they were cut from Canada’s training camp.
Games this week: @Owen Sound (Dec. 28)
4. Prince Albert Raiders (WHL): The Raiders drop one spot after they split a pair of games last week. After a 5-4 loss to Regina, Prince Albert rebounded to beat Kelowna 8-3 behind a five-point (3G/2A) outing from Brandon Gorzynski (DAL). The Raiders’ 23 wins are the second most in the WHL as is their .781 winning percentage.
Games this week: @Swift Current (Dec. 27)
5. Ottawa 67’s (OHL): The 67’s climb a spot to no. 6 as they head into the Holiday break on a six-game winning streak. Last week, Ottawa took down Peterborough 4-1 before a 6-0 victory over no. 3 Brantford where Ryder Fetterolf made 19 saves. Ottawa’s 25 wins leads all OHL clubs while their 52 points are tied with Flint for the most. Furthermore, their 77 goals against are the fewest in the CHL this season.
Games this week: vs. Kingston (Dec. 28)
6. Flint Firebirds (OHL): The Firebirds jump up two spots in Week 14 as they climb to no. 6, their highest ranking of the season. It’s well-earned as they take a seven-game point streak into the Holiday break that was finalized with road wins over Niagara (4-3) and Erie (5-3) last week. The Firebirds’ 52 points are tied with Ottawa for the OHL lead while their 24 wins are second most.
Games this week: vs. Windsor (Dec. 28)
7. Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL): The Oil Kings fell two spots this week although in their single outing last week, they collected a point in a 3-2 overtime loss to Lethbridge. Edmonton’s 21 wins and .719 winning percentage are both fourth most in the WHL this season as are their 136 goals.
Games this week: @Red Deer (Dec. 27), vs. Lethbridge (Dec. 28)
8. Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL): the defending QMJHL champions fall one spot after they went 1-1-0 last week. A 6-3 win over Newfoundland pushed the club’s point streak to 12 games but it ended in their final game before the Holiday break after a 4-3 setback to Cape Breton. Nevertheless, Moncton are tied with Chicoutimi for the most wins in the Q with 22 while their 47 points and 137 goals rank second. The club also shored up its d-line before the break by acquiring Evan Depatie – whose nine goals are tied for the most among QMJHL blueliners – from Rimouski.
Games this week: @Cape Breton (Dec. 28)
9. Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL): The reigning WHL champs remain at no. 9 but they enter the Holiday break as the hottest team in the CHL. Willie Desjardins’ side beat Brandon 7-3 in their only game of the week but in the process pushed its winning streak to 10 games and point streak to 14. The Tigers’ 22 wins, .742 winning percentage and 49 points are third most in the WHL while their 150 goals are a league-best.
Games this week: @Lethbridge (Dec. 27), vs. Red Deer (Dec. 28)
10. Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL): For the second straight week, the Armada conclude the rankings as they remain at no. 10 after a 1-1-0 week. The Armada fell 5-3 in Gatineau but rebounded to head into the Holiday break on a winning note after a 5-1 win over Rouyn-Noranda. Blainville-Boisbriand’s 19 wins are tied for the third most in the Q while their .677 winning percentage, 42 points and 133 goals stand alone in third place. In their hopes for a deep postseason run, the club added some depth before the break as they added Mathieu Taillefer from Halifax and Jacob Beaulieu from Saint John.
Games this week: vs. Chicoutimi (Dec. 28)
