Roberts OT winner lifts JRC past Vaughan
Sam Roberts (1) scored the overtime winner to give the Jr. Canadiens their first win of the round robin with a 3-2 victory over Vaughan.
“They were sitting back a bunch, saw the space and thought I’d take it myself and beat a guy wide and it went in,” said Roberts discussing his game winning goal.
Back and forth throughout regulation with teams exchanging goals as Dylan Nobili (2) and Carter Lewandowski (2) found the back of the net for Vaughan. While top prospect Camryn Warren (2) netted a pair for the Jr. Canadiens earning Under Armour Player of the Game honours for his team.
