Jr. Canadiens stay hot with 5-2 win over Cyclones
The Toronto Jr. Canadians continued their strong offensive showing, defeating the Upper Canada Cyclones 5-2.
The scoring started early, as Noah Laus (1) put the Jr. Canadiens on the board within the first few minutes. The Cyclones responded almost immediately, with Carter Beauchesne (1) netting a power-play goal to even the score.
Toronto quickly regained control, as Jackson Bodnar (1) restored the lead before Keaton Ardagh (1) extended it further. Tyler Bruce (1) capped off the first-period scoring spree, giving the Jr. Canadiens a commanding advantage.
After a scoreless second period, the Cyclones looked to mount a comeback in the third, with Quinn Young (1) striking on the power play just three minutes in. However, Connor Hagerty (1) sealed the Jr. Canadiens’ victory with a late tally.
“We know what it’s like to lose,” says captain and player of the game Noah Laus. “But we also know what it takes to win, and we’re going to use that momentum to keep going.”
Both teams have the rest of night off and will be back in action on Wednesday.
