During his time with Abbotsford, the team posted a record of 72-61-6-5, which included a franchise-best 44 wins and 92 points in 2024-25, en route to the franchise\u2019s first Calder Cup Championship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prior to his time in Abbotsford, Malhotra spent four seasons as an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also previously worked within the Canucks organization, serving as a Development Coach in 2016-17 before being promoted to Assistant Coach from 2017-20.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A native of Mississauga, Ont., Malhotra played three seasons with the Guelph Storm from 1996-99, helping the club capture an OHL championship in 1998. After capturing the J. Ross Robertson Cup as Ontario Hockey League champions, the Rangers capped off their remarkable campaign by winning the Memorial Cup, cementing themselves as the top team in Canadian junior hockey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Led by a veteran core that embraced the pressure and expectations that came with championship aspirations, Kitchener delivered one of the most dominant postseason runs in recent CHL history. For the members of the Rangers&#8217; graduating class, there could be no better ending, as they conclude their OHL careers having reached the pinnacle of junior hockey and helping bring a Memorial Cup back to Kitchener for the first time since 2003.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now, the organization prepares to say goodbye to members of their graduating class as Matthew Andonovski, Jack Pridham and Dylan Edwards move on from the OHL.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><b>Matthew Andonovski (Kitchener Rangers \u2013 2021-26)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Spending his entire junior career with the Kitchener Rangers, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chl.ca\/ohl\/players\/8465\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Matthew Andonovski<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> returned to the club in January for his overage season after beginning the year with the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League. He recorded 14 points (1-13\u201314) in 24 regular-season games before adding 10 points (3-7\u201310) during Kitchener\u2019s run to OHL and Memorial Cup championships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">His leadership qualities were recognized throughout the season, earning him the Ted Baker Teammate of the Year Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Originally selected in the fourth round (62nd overall) of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Andonovski was later chosen by the Ottawa Senators in the fifth round (140th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft. He led the Rangers with 90 points (46-44\u201390) in 65 regular-season games, earning the Leo Lalonde Trophy as the OHL\u2019s Overager of the Year. Pridham then added 26 points (7-19\u201326) during Kitchener\u2019s run to OHL and Memorial Cup titles and was named to the Memorial Cup All-Star Team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Stouffville, Ont., native closes out his OHL career with 144 points (73-71\u2013144) in 113 regular-season games. Originally selected in the ninth round (177th overall) of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Pridham was later drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the third round (92nd overall) of the 2024 NHL Draft. Quickly becoming one of Kitchener\u2019s most clutch offensive contributors, Edwards recorded a career-high 87 points (40-47\u201387) between the two clubs during the regular season before adding 31 points (16-15\u201331) in the playoffs en route to OHL and Memorial Cup championships. In total, he scored nine game-winning goals across the regular season and postseason.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Toronto, Ont., native concludes his OHL career with 184 points (84-100\u2013184) in 222 regular-season games. He also recorded two shutouts and handled the bulk of Brantford\u2019s starts, helping the club win the Hamilton Spectator Trophy as regular season champions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Originally selected in the second round, 32nd overall, of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection by the Mississauga Steelheads, Leenders quickly became a strong goaltender in the league. The 6&#8217;1, 179 pound goaltender has recorded 94 wins across 168 regular season games in his OHL career, while adding 16 wins in 30 playoff appearances between the pipes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Going to Brantford is Jet Kwajah, a defenceman drafted by the Owen Sound Attack in the sixth round of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection. The 2008-born blue liner spent his last two seasons with the Madison Capitols of the USHL, and is eligible for the upcoming 2026 NHL Draft. Fetterolf is also Ottawa&#8217;s first First-Team All-Star goaltender since Hillier in 1995-96. Armed with the second overall selection in the upcoming OHL Priority Selection, Erie has an opportunity to add another cornerstone piece to a franchise that has long been recognized for developing elite talent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As the club begins its next chapter, Erie will first bid farewell to members of its graduating class, with Andrew Kuzma, Noah Erliden, and Jackson Schouten moving on from the OHL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Andrew Kuzma (Erie Otters, Kingston Frontenacs \u2013 2025-26)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Spending his lone OHL season as an overager, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chl.ca\/ohl\/players\/9521\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Andrew Kuzma<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> began the year with the Kingston Frontenacs before being acquired by the Erie Otters at the trade deadline. Between the two clubs, he recorded 39 points (20-19\u201339) in 69 regular-season games.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Originally selected by Kingston in the eighth round (155th overall) of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Kuzma spent much of his junior career in the USHL and was preparing to join Penn State for the 2024-25 season. However, during routine preseason testing, doctors discovered he had bicuspid aortic valve disease, a congenital heart condition that affects blood flow from the heart to the body. After undergoing open-heart surgery in November 2024, Kuzma returned to the ice this past September and completed his overage season in the OHL.
