Trading up to acquire the 102nd overall pick, the New York Rangers selected Ottawa 67’s forward Spencer Bowes. In his rookie OHL season, the 6-foot winger recorded 42 points (23-19\u201342) and a plus-30 rating in 67 regular-season games. He is committed to Providence College for the 2027-28 season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andre Mondoux<\/b><\/a> (D) \u2013 Kingston Frontenacs (2024-26)<\/b><\/p>\n

Selected: 6th Round, 162nd Overall (2026)<\/b><\/p>\n

OHL Career Stats: 74 GP, 6G, 13A, 19 PTS., +19<\/b><\/p>\n

Age: 19<\/b><\/p>\n

The Rangers selected 6-foot-3 Kingston Frontenacs defenceman Andre Mondoux with the second pick of the sixth round. A former 14th-round OHL Priority Selection pick from North Bay, Mondoux persevered to become an important part of Kingston’s blue line, producing 18 points (6-12\u201318) in 66 games during the 2025-26 season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Darian Anderson<\/b><\/a> (RW) \u2013 Flint Firebirds (2025-26)<\/b><\/p>\n

Selected: 6th Round, 163rd Overall (2026)<\/b><\/p>\n

With the second of back-to-back selections, the Rangers picked Flint Firebirds winger Darian Anderson. Another 2006-born player who took a significant step forward in 2025-26, Anderson produced 45 points (20-25\u201345) in 60 games during his first OHL season after arriving from the USHL’s Lincoln Stars. He is committed to Clarkson University for the 2026-27 season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following his three seasons with the Erie Otters, where he served as an assistant captain, Malcolm Spence spent the 2025-26 campaign at the University of Michigan, recording 25 points (10-15\u201325) in 40 regular-season games.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his first OHL season, the Russian defenceman recorded 51 points (15-36\u201351) in 65 regular-season games after being selected in the first round of the 2025 CHL Import Draft by the Sudbury Wolves.<\/span><\/p>\n

A 6-foot-4 right-shot defenceman, Evan Passmore wore an “A” with the Colts this past season, recording 10 points (3-7\u201310) in 66 regular-season games before adding three assists in the playoffs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Acquired by the Rangers at the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline, Jacob Battaglia was traded twice during the 2025-26 season after first being dealt from the Kingston Frontenacs to the Flint Firebirds in January. The 6-foot-1 forward recorded a combined 48 points (26-22\u201348) in 64 regular-season games and is expected to make his AHL debut with the Hartford Wolf Pack this fall.<\/span><\/p>\n

Acquired by the Rangers in February as part of the trade that sent Artemi Panarin to the Los Angeles Kings, Liam Greentree joins the organization after completing an outstanding OHL career with the Windsor Spitfires. The captain finished his final junior season with 74 points (38-36\u201374) in 52 regular-season games and represented Team Canada at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently acquired from the Utah Mammoth, Cole Beaudoin captained the Barrie Colts in 2025-26, setting career highs with 33 goals, 55 assists and 88 points. Across the league, he ranked sixth in assists and tied for seventh in points. In the postseason, Beaudoin led the OHL in assists (19) and points (29). He also earned the CHL\u2019s Sportsman of the Year and the OHL\u2019s Most Sportsmanlike Player. Internationally, he represented Team Canada at both the 2025 and 2026 IIHF World Junior Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recording a breakout season while more than doubling his offensive production from the year before, captain Nathan Aspinall registered 94 points (33-61\u201394) in 65 regular-season games. His 61 assists set a new Firebirds franchise record, and his 94 points were the second-most in the OHL. The 6-foot-7 winger was also named a finalist for the Red Tilson Trophy and the Mickey Renaud Captain\u2019s Trophy. The OHL named him to the First All-Star Team, while the CHL named him to the Third All-Star Team.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his rookie season with the Hartford Wolf Pack, the Akwesasne, N.Y., native recorded 17 points (8-9\u201317) in 68 regular-season games.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2006-born centreman was selected by Calgary after going undrafted in each of the previous two NHL Drafts.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was selected 11th overall by the Sarnia Sting in the 2025 CHL Import Draft and is set to make his OHL debut in 2026-27.<\/span><\/p>\n

NORTH BAY, ON. \u2013<\/b> The North Bay Battalion have announced the signing of goaltender Owen Loftus to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Battalion took Loftus of the Don Mills Flyers U16 AAA at No. 11 in the Priority Selection, held June 12-13 at Kingston\u2019s Slush Puppie Place. In 50 games last season, Loftus posted a 2.00 goals-against average with nine shutouts and a record of 25-15-10. The Toronto resident, who’s six-foot-one and 163 pounds, turned 16 on April 29.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think the team’s got a really good development plan for me,\u201d said Loftus. \u201cI’m obviously going to do my best, and ice time’s not something that I know, right? It’s something that’ll just come from the work I do. Obviously, I have a lot of trust in this organization to be making the best development decisions for me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Loftus, a pianist who played at Carnegie Hall in New York City at 13, said he’s in a good spot with the depth of goaltending experience and expertise within the Battalion staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing that really stood out to me coming to this organization is the goalie knowledge they have, and I can say probably a lot of teams don’t have this similar pedigree with goalies coming in and the staff that they have, like the knowledge,\u201d Loftus said. \u201cI was just talking with (Adam) Dennis before we came. We were just chatting about it. Ottawa 67’s forward Filip Ekberg and London Knights defenceman Linus Funck have been named to Sweden’s roster for the 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase, taking place July 26 to Aug. 1 in Windsor, Ont.<\/p>\n

The annual event serves as the opening evaluation camp ahead of the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship in Alberta, with Sweden joining Canada, Finland and the United States for a five-game schedule.<\/p>\n

Ekberg returns to the international stage following another productive season with the 67’s. The 19-year-old from Uppsala, Sweden recorded 24 goals and 22 assists for 46 points in 59 games during the 2025-26 campaign and has totalled 91 points (46-45-91) in 112 career OHL games. He also starred for Sweden at the 2025 IIHF U18 World Championship, leading the tournament with 10 goals while recording 18 points in seven games.<\/p>\n

Funck earns the call after a strong first season with the defending Memorial Cup champion London Knights. Selected by London in the first round (58th overall) of the 2025 CHL Import Draft, the 6-foot-3 defenceman recorded four goals and 18 assists for 22 points in 65 regular season games before adding a goal in three playoff appearances. The Lule\u00e5, Sweden native was also selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the fourth round (118th overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft.<\/p>\n

Nine players selected in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection have been named to the United States roster for the 2026 Under-17 Four Nations Tournament, scheduled for Aug. 15-19 in Chomutov, Czechia.<\/p>\n

The 20-player roster was announced Friday by USA Hockey following this week’s Boys National 16 Player Development Camp in Amherst, N.Y. The United States will face Czechia, Slovakia and Switzerland in the annual international event.<\/p>\n

Leading the OHL contingent are first-round selections Max Lappan (Niagara IceDogs, ninth overall) and Aiden Kelly (Brantford Bulldogs, 20th overall).<\/p>\n
