The 6-foot, 181-pound netminder was the first goaltender taken in the draft after an impressive season with Keikko-Espoo in the U20 SM-Sarja league, where he posted a 2.34 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage in 29 appearances. Ahmaj\u00e4rvi has also represented Finland on the international stage on multiple occasions at the U16, U17 and U18 levels.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Goaltending, David Shantz, had this to say about Oskari, \u201cOskari is a highly competitive, athletic goaltender with a strong track record of results. His Finnish U20 SM-Sarja championship in Keikko-Espoo last season, coupled with his international body of work provides a solid foundation for him to transition and earn success at the OHL level. Godick comes from the Don Mills Flyers U16 AAA program where he notched 2 goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 28 games. The 6-foot, 182 lbs. right-shot defenceman from Thunder Bay, ON starred in five OHL Cup games for Don Mills collecting 2 goals and 2 assists.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong><em>&#8220;Gavin is a right defenceman that has a really good feel with the puck,&#8221; <\/em><\/strong><strong>said Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper. <em>&#8220;He is very shifty and moves well laterally in the offensive zone and can open up a lot of shooting and passing lanes. On the defensive side of the puck, he\u00a0defends hard and is tough to beat in one-on-one situations, with his mobility. A left-shot forward from Peterborough, Ontario, Fitzgerald spent last season with the Vaughan Kings U16 AAA program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvan is one of the most tenacious, scrappy and hard-to-play-against players in the 2010 age group, and we were thrilled to get him at the end of the second round of the draft,\u201d said Kitchener Rangers General Manager Mike McKenzie. \u201cHe creates offence and makes things happen by going to the hard areas of the ice and outworking and battling opponents. We think his game will translate well to our league and team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fitzgerald, 15, born on Sept. 10, 2010, is listed at five-foot-eleven and 160 pounds. In 32 regular-season games with the Vaughan Kings U16 AAA, he recorded 16 goals and 17 assists for 33 points, while adding two goals and three assists for five points in four OHL Cup games.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am truly honoured and grateful to sign with the Kitchener Rangers to continue my hockey journey,&#8221; said Evan Fitzgerald. &#8220;I look forward to earning the trust of the coaches and my teammates through hard work. Goulet moved to Nepean of the CCHL where he served as head coach &amp; general manager of the Raiders from the 2009-2010 season through 2014-15, while spending the final two seasons in Nepean as a scout for the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL and was named CCHL Coach of the Year in the 2011-12 season. Goulet next spent a pair of seasons at the professional level as an assistant coach with the Brampton Beast of the ECHL from 2015-16 to 2016-17 while also serving as general manager of the Kingston Voyageurs. Returning to Kingston full time in 2017, Goulet spent the next two seasons as head coach &amp; general manager of the Voyageurs and was named assistant coach for Team Canada East at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge. Goulet moved onto the Trenton Golden Hawks as head coach &amp; general manager for the 2019-20 season, staying for the next three seasons and being named OJHL Executive of the Year in 2020. Spending the last four years as the head coach of the NOJHL\u2019s Powassan Voodoos, Goulet continued to earn accolades, winning a World Junior A Challenge Silver Medal as an assistant coach for Team Canada East in 2023 and being named NOJHL Coach of the Year for both the 2022-23 &amp; 2025-26 seasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPete is a familiar face in the organization with world of experience that will only help our staff and players.\u201d said Brantford Bulldogs Head Coach Michael Babcock. \u201cHis articulation of clear and concise messaging was beyond impressive.
