– New York Rangers prospect Brennan Othmann scored on a one-timer 2:56 into overtime as the Firebirds won their third straight.
– Back-and-forth game included two goals apiece from Zack Terry and Coulson Pitre, whose 16 on the season have him tied for the most by an OHL rookie.
– Ethan Keppen extended his point streak to nine games with a goal and an assist.
– Kitchener’s Mike Petizian had two goals and an assist in his 200th career OHL contest.
– Reid Valade finished with three assists for Kitchener while Justin Nolet had a goal and a helper.
– Luke Cavallin made 25 saves for the win, improving to 20-9-0-2 on the season.
– Kitchener’s Marcus Vandenberg made 36 saves as the Rangers were outshot 44-32.
– Flint climbs to 25-14-0-2, one point back of first place Sault Ste. Marie in the West Division.
– Kitchener has lost three straight, falling to 16-19-2-1 for a seventh place tie in the Western Conference.

– The Otters climbed out to a 3-0 first period lead before a crowd of 3,012 students on Wednesday morning, holding on for a 7-4 win.
– Daniel D’Amato hit the empty net and recorded three primary assists in the Erie win.
– Blueliner Christian Kyrou scored a pair, extending his point streak to seven games to give him six goals in that span.
– Lucas Ross scored his first career OHL goal for Erie.
– Trailing 6-1, the Attack struck for three straight in the third period to draw within two as Cedrick Guindon scored his 13th and 14th of the season.
– Colby Barlow scored his 15th goal of the season, good for the second-most among OHL rookies.
– Owen Sound’s Logan LeSage finished with three assists.
– The Attack were limited to 15 skaters.
– Nolan Lalonde made 17 saves for his 14th win of the season, the most by a 16 or 17-year-old rookie in Otters history. Josh Disher (26, 2003-04) holds the Otters franchise record for first-year goaltenders.
– The Otters have won five of their last six, improving to 16-19-1-2 for seventh place in the Western Conference.
– Owen Sound sits six points up on Erie with a 19-18-1-2 record for sixth.

– Jax Dubois scored the shorthanded game winner 6:48 into the third period as Peterborough took two points in Kingston.
– Emmett Sproule and Joe Carroll added Peterborough goals.
– Dallas Stars prospect Francesco Arcuri scored his 20th of the season for Kingston’s lone marker.
– Tye Austin stopped 30 of 31 to earn first star honours while Kingston’s Leevi Merilainen made 26 saves.
– The Petes rebound from a loss in Hamilton on Sunday to improve to 15-24-2-0 for eighth in the Eastern Conference.
– Kingston has lost consecutive games, falling to 24-12-3-0 for fourth in the Eastern Conference.
– The Petes have now won two of their eight encounters with Kingston this season.

– Luke Evangelista came up with four third period points, scoring twice as the Knights overcame a 3-1 deficit to defeat Saginaw. Evangelista has scored 34 goals in 32 games and has 14 points in his last four outings.
– Dallas Stars prospect Antonio Stranges scored the deciding goal with 7:47 remaining in the third period, giving him eight points in his last three games.
– Denver Barkey and Cody Morgan also scored for the Knights as they outshot Saginaw 33-28.
– Local product Mitchell Smith had a pair of goals on the Saginaw blue line.
– Brett Brochu stopped 25 of 28 for the win while Saginaw’s Tristan Lennox made 28 saves.
– The Knights had their top three picks in 2021 – Denver Barkey, Easton Cowan and Oliver Bonk, in the lineup together for the first time. London also called up Mathieu Paris for the matchup and dressed Flint Firebirds netminder Nathaniel Day as their emergency backup.
– London has won four in a row, improving to 25-10-1-0, two points back of first place Sault Ste. Marie in the Western Conference.
– Saginaw falls to 16-24-1-0 at the bottom of the Western Conference.

– The Storm went 4-for-5 on the power play as Ben McFarlane scored twice, helping Guelph snap a five-game losing skid.
– Brayden Guy wore the ‘C’ for Guelph, recording a goal and an assist against his former club.
– Cooper Walker recorded three assists for the Storm.
– Sarnia’s Nolan Dann scored his 17th of the season with 4:57 left in the second period.
– Gavin Grundner made his OHL debut for Guelph.
– Jacob Oster stopped 26 of 27 to earn the win for Guelph opposite Sarnia’s Ben Gaudreau who made 26 saves.
– The Storm improve to 20-15-2-1 for fifth place in the Western Conference.
– Sarnia falls to 15-17-3-1, one point back of seventh place Kitchener and Erie in the Western Conference.
– With his 164th win behind the Storm bench, George Burnett tied Scott Walker for the most wins in franchise history.
