Owen Sound rookies stay hot
The Owen Sound Attack are among the hottest teams in the League, leapfrogging the Guelph Storm into fifth in the Western Conference and now sit just four points back of the Soo Greyhounds for home ice advantage in Round 1 of the playoffs. Owen Sound rookies Colby Barlow, Cedrick Guindon and Servac Petrovsky have combined for 79 goals this season and contributed in back-to-back wins over Sarnia on Saturday and Sunday.

Wolves on a roll
The Sudbury Wolves aren’t going away in the Eastern Conference. The Wolves defeated the first place Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday as NHL Draft prospect David Goyette was the overtime hero. The Wolves have won three of their last four and are three points back of Peterborough for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Spitfires’ perfect week
The Spitfires had another perfect week to push their winning streak to seven as Windsor now leads the West Division by a five-point cushion. The Spits took consecutive wins in Sault Ste. Marie, wrapping up the season series with wins in seven of eight against the Greyhounds. OHL scoring leader Wyatt Johnston is up to 112 points after netting his 41st of the season as the game winner on Sunday.

North Bay stays in the win column
The North Bay Battalion continue their quest for a Central Division title with nine wins in their last 10 games, including a key Sunday victory over the Mississauga Steelheads. Mitchell Russell extended his point streak to 10 games with his 38th goal of the season, as San Jose Sharks prospect Brandon Coe picked up two assists, giving him 91 points in 57 games. North Bay improves to 37-18-3-3.

50 goals for Knights’ Evangelista
The London Knights recorded five out of a possible six points last weekend as Nashville Predators prospect Luke Evangelista scored his 50th goal and 100th point of the season, blanking Guelph. It marks the 18th time a Knights player has recorded 50 goals and 100 points in one season. Rookie netminder Owen Flores stopped 31 shots to earn his first career OHL shutout as the Knights trail first place Windsor by four points in the Western Conference.

Colts clinch a playoff spot
The Barrie Colts clinched a playoff spot after defeating Kingston and Ottawa this weekend. San Jose Sharks prospect Ethan Cardwell scored a hat trick on Saturday before scoring the deciding goal with one second left in the second period on Sunday, while Mack Guzda made a 31-save effort improving Barrie to 31-21-5-1 for fifth place in the Eastern Conference. LA Kings prospect Brandt Clarke returned from serving an eight-game suspension on Sunday.

Kingston keeps up the scoring
The Kingston Frontenacs kept up the scoring to complete a two-win weekend. LA Kings prospect Martin Chromiak dazzled with three goals and two assists on Sunday as Pittsburgh Penguins signee Jordan Frasca scored goals 40 and 41 on the season, marking the 36th time in Fronts all-time franchise history a player has scored 40. Kingston has won seven of 10, improving to 37-19-3-0 for a third place tie with Mississauga in the Eastern Conference. The Fronts blue line remains short staffed with Florida Panthers prospect Braden Haché sidlined and overager Lucas Peric serving a six-game suspension.
MILESTONE
For the 36th time in franchise history, Kingston has a 40 goal scorer.

Campbell returns for the Otters
The Erie Otters split their weekend as Aidan Campbell made 19 saves in his season debut for the Otters, coming back from injury to earn first star honours in a win over Guelph. Campbell hadn’t played since pre-season action on Sept. 18th, undergoing surgery for a lower-body injury. Erie sits three points back of Sarnia for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and will play eight of their remaining nine games at home.

Saginaw snaps the slide
The Saginaw Spirit had back-to-back wins this weekend snapping their six-game losing streak. Dalton Duhart racked up a career-high six points, scoring a third period hat trick, tacking on the OT winner and collecting two assists on Friday against Sarnia. The OHL Player of the Week reached the 100 point milestone on his OHL career. The Spirit would go on to defeat Flint in their final meeting of the season as Andrew Oke made 27 saves for the win. Hometown product Mitchell Smith was a force on the blue line, scoring three times while adding four assists in three outings. Saginaw improves to 20-39-1-0 at the bottom of the Western Conference.

New Firebirds record for Cavallin
Flint Firebirds netminder Luke Cavallin earned his league-leading 30th win on Sunday, making 24 saves in a 3-1 road win over the Kitchener Rangers. Cavallin is 30-12-1-3 on the season with a 3.17 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. The Greely, Ont. native also leads the Firebirds with 56 career victories. He was Flint’s second round pick in 2017.
