Matthew Schaefer sealed the win for the Erie Otters in overtime, capping off a wild back-and-forth game. After leading 3-1 in the second, the North Bay Battalion battled back, scoring twice to tie the game at three. Tyler Challenger made his mark, netting his first career OHL goal to give the Otters the lead heading into the third. Schaefer’s clutch overtime goal secured the win for Erie.
