Rookie winger James Hardie (3) had a goal and an assist in front of the hometown crowd as the Mississauga Steelheads took a 2-1 road win in Barrie. The trio of Hardie, Cole Carter (4) and Ryan McLeod struck for a pair of early first period goals before the Trout rode a 30-save performance from Barrie native Jacob Ingham to victory. Matej Pekar (4) provided the lone Barrie goal while rookie Jet Greaves made 28 saves in his OHL debut. The Steelheads improve to 3-1-1-0 while Barrie falls to 2-2-1-0.
