The Niagara IceDogs controlled the pace, outshooting the visiting Peterborough Petes 44-28 in a 3-0 home ice victory on Wednesday. Overage netminder Stephen Dhillon recorded his fourth career shutout behind goals from Jonah De Simone (1), Bradey Johnson (4) and Ivan Lodnia (5). Blueliner Liam Ham collected a pair of assists as De Simone’s first OHL goal 8:57 into the first frame stood as the game winner. The IceDogs improve to 7-4-2-0 while the Petes, who had been the fifth-ranked team in the CHL a couple weeks ago, dropped their fourth straight decision to fall to 8-6-0-0. Petes netminder Hunter Jones earned third star honours with 41 saves in the loss.
