A five-goal third period from the Barrie Colts blew a close game wide open as defenceman Justin Murray (4, 5) had two goals and an assist in a 7-3 road win over the Saginaw Spirit. The Colts were behind 3-1 at one point before exploding for six unanswered goals. Murray struck inside the final minute of the second period before the Colts charged ahead for good in the third. Lucas Chiodo (8), Matej Pekar (7), Ben Hawerchuk (7) and Jason Willms (2) all joined Murray with three points on the night while Sam Rhodes (4) also found the back of the net. Vegas Golden Knights prospect Maksim Zhukov stopped 33 of 36 as the Colts won despite being outshot 36-27. Cole Coskey (5), DJ Busdeker (3) and Brady Gilmour (3) were Spirit goal-scorers while Bode Wilde and Albert Michnac had a pair of assists. The Colts improve to 6-5-1-0 while Saginaw falls to 6-4-1-0.
