The Flint Firebirds have acquired goaltender Trenten Bennett from the Owen Sound Attack in exchange for four draft picks.

A Kitchener, Ontario native, Bennett was originally selected by the Attack in the fourteenth round, 274th overall, of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. The 6-foot-8, 207-pound goaltender spent parts of two seasons in Owen Sound, appearing in 33 regular season games while recording a 3.69 GAA and a 0.901 SV%.

Following a strong season with the Kemptville 73's of the CCHL, Bennett was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the fourth round, 99th overall, of the 2025 NHL Draft. During the 2025-26 campaign, the 2006-born goaltender posted 9 wins with a 3.93 GAA and a 0.896 SV% across 27 regular season games.

The move gives the Firebirds an NHL-drafted goaltender entering his overage season, while Owen Sound adds future draft capital as clubs continue shaping their rosters during the OHL offseason trade window. The Attack receive a 2026 third-round pick, a 2028 fifteenth-round pick, along with a 2029 fifth-round pick and a 2029 sixth-round pick in the future OHL Priority Selections.

Originally selected by Kingston in the eighth round (155th overall) of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Kuzma spent much of his junior career in the USHL and was preparing to join Penn State for the 2024-25 season. However, during routine preseason testing, doctors discovered he had bicuspid aortic valve disease, a congenital heart condition that affects blood flow from the heart to the body. After undergoing open-heart surgery in November 2024, Kuzma returned to the ice this past September and completed his overage season in the OHL. He is committed to returning to the NCAA next season.

The Erie Otters have added goaltender David Egorov from the Brantford Bulldogs, while Brantford receives Jack Good's rights and four draft picks.

The Erie Otters have added one of the OHL's most accomplished young goaltenders, acquiring David Egorov from the Brantford Bulldogs as part of a multi-asset trade completed on Tuesday.

In the transaction, Erie receives Egorov, while Brantford acquires the OHL playing rights to forward Jack Good along with four OHL Priority Selection picks: North Bay's third-round pick in 2027, Saginaw's third-round pick in 2027, Sarnia's fourth-round pick in 2026 and Erie's fifth-round pick in 2029.

Egorov arrives in Erie following a successful four-year tenure in Brantford. Originally selected in the fourth round, 64th overall, of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection, the Ottawa native established himself as one of the league's top goaltenders, posting a career record of 44-16-7 with a 3.04 goals-against average and .901 save percentage across 77 games.

Nicknamed "Big Save Dave" during his time with the Bulldogs, Egorov helped one of the OHL's top teams over the past several seasons and enters Erie as an NHL Draft-eligible goaltender with significant experience in high-pressure situations.

For Brantford, the deal brings back valuable draft capital along with the rights to one of junior hockey's most productive NCAA-bound forwards.

Good, an Ajax native and Merrimack College commit, starred with the Brooks Bandits of the BCHL this past season, recording 22 goals and a league-leading 48 assists for 70 points in 54 games. He helped the Bandits capture a second consecutive BCHL championship, scoring the overtime winner in the championship-clinching Game 5.

The trade marks another notable move during the opening day of the OHL trade window, which remains open through June 11 at 3:00 p.m. ahead of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore.

The Sarnia Sting have acquired forward Parker Holmes from the Brantford Bulldogs in exchange for a third-round pick and a sixth-round pick in the 2028 OHL Priority Selection.

A South Mountain, Ontario native, Holmes was originally selected by the Bulldogs in the seventh round, 129th overall, of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. The 6-foot-4, 227-pound winger spent parts of two seasons in Brantford, appearing in 70 regular season games while recording six goals and 11 assists.

Following his rookie OHL season, Holmes was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fourth round, 107th overall, of the 2025 NHL Draft. During the 2025-26 campaign, the 2007-born forward produced 17 points in 49 games before adding a goal in 11 playoff contests.

Prior to joining the Bulldogs, Holmes developed with the Kemptville 73's program, helping lead the club to an HEO U18 Championship before advancing to the CCHL.

"We would like to thank Parker Holmes for everything he contributed to the Bulldogs organization," said Bulldogs General Manager Spencer Hyman. "Parker represented our team with professionalism, character, and a team-first attitude throughout his time in Brantford."

The move gives the Sting an NHL-drafted power forward entering his 19-year-old season, while Brantford adds future draft capital as clubs continue shaping their rosters during the OHL offseason trade window.

The OHL trade window opened on June 2 and remains open until June 11 at 3:00 p.m. ahead of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore, which takes place June 12-13 at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.
