Gibson comes to Erie by way of the Ajax/Pickering Raiders where a season ago he was a rock between the pipes, posting a 7-4-0 record across 15 games and a 2.20 goals against average. He was also strong at the OHL Cup where he had a GAA just over 2. The 6'1 Oshawa, ON native is known as a steady presence between the pipes and projects to grow into his body more as he ages. Gibson spoke with excitement about joining the organization and what he looks to bring to an exciting future in the Flagship City. "I am truly honored to be signed with the Erie Otters," Gibson said. That difficult season helped Erie earn the second overall pick in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection, where they selected Colin Kennedy, adding another high-end young piece to an organization that has developed some of hockey’s biggest names, including Connor McDavid and Matthew Schaefer. There will be plenty of change surrounding the Otters this season, particularly between the pipes following the departure of overage Noah Erliden. Erie addressed the position early in the offseason by acquiring goaltender David Egorov from the Brantford Bulldogs. The Otters could also receive a major boost on the blue line with the return of Chicago Blackhawks prospect Ty Henry, who missed the entire 2025-26 season due to a knee injury. Notably, Erie will be tested right away, with six of its first seven games coming on the road as the club looks to establish itself early in the new campaign.   Starting Six: * The Starting Six does not represent a projected lineup, but instead highlights six key players to watch entering the 2026-27 season. FORWARD | Michael Dec  2025-26: 46 GP, 25G, 28A, 53 PTS Michael Dec proved to be one of Erie’s biggest additions last season after being acquired from the Owen Sound Attack at the end of October. Despite his smaller frame, Dec quickly became a catalyst for the Otters’ offence, using his offensive instincts and scoring touch to record 25 goals and 53 points in just 46 games with Erie. Originally an eighth-round selection by Owen Sound in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection, Dec was named an assistant captain by the Otters in January and finished the season with 68 points in 62 games between the two clubs. The Cornell University commit is expected to remain a key piece of Erie’s offence before heading to the NCAA for the 2027-28 season.   FORWARD | Mclean Agrette  2025-26: 67 GP, 8G, 19A, 27 PTS Mclean Agrette showed plenty of promise during his first OHL season, recording eight goals and 27 points across 67 games with the Otters. The skilled forward also became one of Erie’s go-to options in shootout situations. Now with a full OHL season under his belt, the University of Massachusetts commit will look to take another step offensively in his second year with the club.   FORWARD | Colin Kennedy 2025-26 (Little Caesars 15U AAA): 20 GP, 24G, 12A, 36 PTS Selected second overall by Erie in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection, Colin Kennedy enters his rookie season as one of the Otters’ most exciting young additions. Considered one of the top skaters in his draft class, Kennedy combines his speed with an elite shot and the ability to score from all areas of the ice. After a standout minor hockey season, Kennedy will now look to make an immediate impact in Erie as he begins his OHL career.   DEFENCEMAN | Julius Saari  2025-26: 68 GP, 5G, 6A, 11 PTS Julius Saari established himself as a steady presence on Erie’s blue line during his first season in the OHL, appearing in all 68 games while recording five goals and 11 points. His impact extended beyond the scoresheet, as the Finnish defenceman earned the trust of the coaching staff and was named an assistant captain in January.  Selected 93rd overall by the Otters in the 2025 CHL Import Draft, Saari brought international experience with him to Erie after representing Finland on multiple occasions. With a full OHL season under his belt, he returns as an important piece of the Otters’ defence heading into 2026-27.   DEFENCEMAN | Lucas Ambrosio 2025-26: 64 GP, 1G, 19A, 20 PTS Lucas Ambrosio took on a significant role on Erie’s blue line last season, logging big minutes while becoming a key piece of the club’s special teams. The 6-foot-4 defenceman recorded a career-high 20 points in 64 games and saw his season rewarded when the Los Angeles Kings selected him in the seventh round, 223rd overall, of the 2026 NHL Draft. Ambrosio also gained valuable international experience with Team Canada at the 2026 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship, where he recorded two assists in five games. With his size, experience and ability to play in important situations, the Kings prospect returns as a key part of Erie’s blue line heading into the new season.   GOALTENDER | David Egorov 2025-26: 29 GP, 2.49 GAA, .920 SV% Acquired from the Brantford Bulldogs at the start of the offseason, David Egorov arrives in Erie with four seasons of OHL experience and an opportunity to take over the starting role between the pipes. The Ottawa, ON., native impressed when called upon, posting a 2.49 goals-against average and .920 save percentage across 29 appearances. Originally selected 64th overall by the Bulldogs in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection, Egorov compiled a 44-16-7 record over his time in Brantford while gaining experience with one of the league’s top teams. Nicknamed “Big Save Dave,” the NHL Draft-eligible netminder will look to bring that experience to Erie as he takes on a larger role with his new club.   Breakout Watch: Liam Beamish – C 2025-26: 66 GP, 11G, 22A, 33 PTS Acquired from the Sarnia Sting at the start of the offseason, Liam Beamish brings experience and a strong two-way presence to Erie’s forward group. The Beamsville, ON., native recorded a career-high 33 points in 66 games during his second OHL campaign. One of his biggest strengths is in the faceoff circle, where he recorded 497 wins last season, an area the Otters will look for him to make an immediate impact. “We are excited to welcome him to the organization. We will be leaning on Liam in the face-off dot and look forward to his contributions on both sides of the puck.” – Assistant General Manager & Director of Hockey Operations, Scott Grieve   Broden McArthur – D 2025-26 (U.S. National U17 Team): 55 GP, 3G, 10A, 13 PTS Broden McArthur joins the Otters after spending last season with the U.S. National Team Development Program, recording three goals and 13 points in 55 games with the U17 team.  Originally selected 99th overall by Erie in the fifth round of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, McArthur is a dynamic defenceman who can contribute at both ends of the ice. A strong skater with the ability to quickly turn defence into offence, he can also create opportunities on the power play and will look to make an impact on the Otters’ blue line in his first OHL season. “The organization is thrilled to add Broden from the USNTDP. The Frontenacs selected Reilly with the 64th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection this past June. The 5'10'', 193lbs forward spent the 2025-26 season with the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA program, playing in 32 games and collecting 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points. Reilly would go on to score a goal and 3 assists at the 2026 OHL Cup in four games. 
"Miles is a workhorse," said Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper. "He really showed what he can do during training camp, playing a strong 200-foot game and possessing a high-IQ. He has great straight away speed and when given the opportunity he can also contribute offensively. He never gives up on a play and is always working hard to get better. He came in to camp with the right mindset and he earned himself this opportunity. We're excited to have him continue his development here in Kingston."

Despite icing a young group, Kingston earned a spot in the postseason before falling to the Ottawa 67’s in four games in the opening round. The Frontenacs showed plenty of depth throughout the season, with nine different players reaching the 30-point mark, while establishing themselves as one of the league’s most disciplined teams. A number of younger players were given larger roles as the season progressed, providing valuable experience that Kingston will look to build on this year. One of the club’s biggest strengths entering the new season is between the pipes. Matthew Minchak and Gavin Betts return after forming a strong tandem last season. Minchak also heard his name called by the Vegas Golden Knights in the sixth round of the 2026 NHL Draft.   Starting Six: * The Starting Six does not represent a projected lineup, but instead highlights six key players to watch entering the 2026-27 season.   FORWARD | Alex McLean  2025-26: 57 GP, 11G, 34A, 45 PTS Acquired from the Guelph Storm at the trade deadline, Alex McLean quickly became an important piece of Kingston’s forward group. He finished the season as the Frontenacs’ leading scorer with 45 points in 57 games. Despite being one of the younger players on the roster, McLean took on increased responsibility as the season progressed and will look to build off that experience heading into 2026-27. Originally selected ninth overall in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, McLean added two points in four postseason games.   FORWARD | Aleks Kulemin  2025-26: 57 GP, 11G, 20A, 31 PTS Aleks Kulemin made an immediate impact during his first season in Kingston, scoring his first career OHL goal just five games into the campaign. After beginning the year on the fourth line, Kulemin continued to earn more responsibility before becoming part of the Frontenacs’ “kid line,” which developed into a go-to unit for Head Coach Troy Mann. He finished his rookie season with 11 goals and 31 points in 57 games and represented Team Canada White at the 2025 U17 World Challenge before suiting up for Canada at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Kulemin enters the season eligible for the 2027 NHL Draft.   FORWARD | Nolan Snyder 2025-26: 68 GP, 16G, 17A, 33 PTS Selected 158th overall in the eighth round of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, Nolan Snyder quickly proved he could make an impact in Kingston. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native recorded 16 goals and 33 points while appearing in all 68 games during his rookie season, earning a spot alongside Aleks Kulemin on the Frontenacs’ “kid line.” Snyder carried that momentum into the summer, representing the United States at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where he recorded a goal and two assists for three points.   DEFENCEMAN | Vann Williamson  2025-26: 68 GP, 3G, 34A, 37 PTS Vann Williamson had previously committed to Clarkson University following the 2025-26 campaign but elected to continue his OHL career in Kingston for one final season. Selected by the Frontenacs in the fourth round (74th overall) of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection, Williamson recorded a career-high 37 points (3-34–37) last season and was named the 48th captain in franchise history following the 2026 OHL trade deadline.   DEFENCEMAN | Andre Mondoux 2025-26: 66 GP, 6G, 12A, 18 PTS A steady and reliable presence on the Kingston blue line, Andre Mondoux earned recognition throughout the season for his strong defensive instincts, physical play and leadership qualities. His consistency at both ends of the ice made him a key contributor for the Frontenacs and ultimately caught the attention of the New York Rangers, who selected him in the sixth round (132nd overall) of the 2026 NHL Draft. Mondoux finished the season with a team-leading plus-19 rating and was a finalist for the 2026 Ted Baker Teammate of the Year Award.   GOALTENDER | Gavin Betts 2025-26: 43 GP, 2.81 GAA, .905 SV% Gavin Betts took another step forward in his first full OHL season, appearing in a team-leading 43 games while sharing the crease with Matthew Minchak. The 2024 second-round pick emerged as Kingston’s go-to option down the stretch, finishing the year with a 2.81 goals-against average and .905 save percentage. The 6-foot forward was in his first OHL season after being selected 32nd overall in the 2025 CHL Import Draft and finished the year with 38 points in 59 games. Misiak also represented Slovakia at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship, recording an assist in four games. "Misiak was a great addition to our lineup after we acquired him from Erie at the trade deadline last season. After getting comfortable with us, he was one of our better forwards down the stretch. After moving throughout the lineup early in the year, the smooth-skating defenceman found a home alongside overager Will Bishop and finished the season with 18 points in 63 games. As the year progressed, Henderson earned time on the Frontenacs’ second power-play unit and was trusted in more high-pressure situations, including during Kingston’s first-round playoff series against Ottawa. Henderson also gained valuable international experience, recording six points in five games while helping Team Canada White capture silver at the 2025 U17 World Challenge before representing Canada at the 2026 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. "Henderson quietly had a great year of development with us, gaining more trust and ice time as the year went on. He was among the best D at breaking the puck out of our zone and is a really strong skater.
