OHL Playoff Roundup: Tuesday
The second round of the 2010 OHL Playoffs continued Tuesday night with one Eastern Conference Semi-Final game:
Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors 2 Ottawa 67’s 0
JP Anderson earned the 2-0 shutout win in his first start of the 2010 OHL Playoffs for the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors who beat the Ottawa 67’s to even the series 2-2. Game 5 is set for Thursday night at 7:00 pm in Ottawa.
Riley Brace earned first star of the game honours with his second goal of the playoffs at 15:55 of the second period which held as the game-winner for the Majors. Devante Smith-Pelly picked up his team-high eighth point recording an assist on the goal along with captain Cameron Gaunce. Ryan Lopes provided the insurance marker at 18:23 of the third period from Dustin Ekelman.
Anderson was named third star of the game making 25 saves in goal. 67’s rookie Petr Mrazek, the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week, made 37 saves and was named the game’s second star despite the loss.
