Dylan Luecke signs with Sting
Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced today that the Hockey Club has signed Forward Dylan Luecke to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
After spending the 2022-23 season with the St. Louis AAA Blues 15U AAA team, the 5’11”, 150-pound St. Louis, MO, native was selected by the Sting in the 12th round with the 237th overall pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection on April 21st.
Luecke tallied an impressive 5 goals and 6 assists through 12 regular season games in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League this season before joining the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers and collecting 21 points in 11 games played.
“Dylan is a player we were very intrigued by last season. A skilled winger who is just scratching the surface with his overall development. He’s a young prospect that has the tools to be an effective player in our league,” says Seca, “We’re excited to work with Dylan and the Luecke family. He will continue his development with the Oakland Jr Grizzlies U16 in Michigan this winter. We will see Dylan in a Sting uniform at some point soon.”
