BMO Jr. Reporter and BMO Kids Blue Line Experience Contest
TORONTO, November 28, 2014 – The 2015 BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game takes place on Thursday, January 22, 2015, in St. Catharines, Ontario and local kids are invited to get involved in the fun. For the second year in a row, BMO will proudly present the BMO Junior Reporter Contest and the BMO Kids Blue Line Experience Contest, giving kids a chance to interact with some of their favorite CHL players.
The BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game showcases the CHL’s top-40 NHL draft eligible players from the Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, who will be competing before hundreds of NHL scouts.
BMO Junior Reporter Contest
The BMO Junior Reporter Contest, which kicks off today, offers an opportunity for two lucky youths (residents of Ontario who are aged 8-13) to attend and report on all of the exciting action at the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. Entrants are asked to submit an article written as if they were reporting for the game. Submissions are open until December 21, 2014. A panel of judges will evaluate entries on their originality and creativity. Six finalists will be shortlisted on December 29, 2014. Two winners will be announced on January 9, 2015.
The winners will be featured on national television by Rogers Sportsnet, on the videoboard at the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and will be available for interviews with local media. Full contest details, rules and entry details are available at http://bmotopprospects.ca/bmojuniorreporter.
BMO Kids Blue Line Experience Contest
The BMO Kids Blue Line Experience Contest offers the chance for kids to lace up with the starting lineup for the 2015 BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. Two minor hockey enthusiasts will be randomly selected to suit up with Team Orr and Team Cherry and take part in pre-game introduction and skate.
The BMO Kids Blue Line Experience Contest is open to children 6-12 years of age who are residents of Ontario. The entry form can be found at www.bmotopprospects.ca/bmokids. The contests close Sunday December 21, 2014.
