World U-17 Hockey Challenge: Day 4 Recap – Canadian Teams Advance to Semi-Finals
Canada White vs. Finland
Final: 5 (CAN) – 1 (FIN)
Canada White punched their ticket into the semi-final’s with a 5–1 win over Finland.
The Canadians struck twice late in the opening frame to take a 2–0 lead. Alex Forrest (Kitchener Rangers) and Brock Chitaroni (Ottawa 67’s) assisted on the first goal, which came on the power play.
Sam Roberts (Oshawa Generals) extended the lead to three early in the second period, but Luukas Kokkonen answered for Finland to cut the deficit to two.
Brenner Lammens (Sarnia Sting) restored the three-goal cushion early in the third, and Chitaroni capped off his three-point night with a goal midway through the period, ultimately sealing the win for Canada White.

Canada Red vs. Sweden
Final: 8 (CAN) – 3 (SWE)
Canada Red followed in Team White’s footsteps, skating to a dominant 8–3 win over Sweden to book their spot in the semi-finals.
Canada came out flying, scoring twice in under a minute to open the game. Cam Warren (North Bay Battalion) buried the second goal, and his second in as many games, with Max Delisle (Owen Sound Attack) picking up the assist. However, Sweden responded just as quickly with a goal from William Olofsson to make it 2–1.
Just seconds into the middle frame, Charlie Murata (Flint Firebirds) helped set up Chase Surkan for Canada’s third of the night.
Holding a 6–3 lead heading into the final frame, Ryseron Edgar (Niagara IceDogs) notched an assist on the seventh goal before Micro Dufour added another to put the game out of reach and secure the win.

In semi-final action, Canada White will square off against the United States at 3:30 PM AST, while Canada Red faces Czechia at 7:30 PM AST.
