Tyler Nother named General Manager of Owen Sound Attack

The Owen Sound Attack have announced that Tyler Nother has added General Manager responsibilities to his portfolio with the organization.

Nother, who was introduced as the club’s President, Governor and Co-Owner following the sale of the franchise to Ecological Dynamics Sports Partners (EDSP) in May, will now oversee all hockey operations matters as General Manager moving forward.

A former OHL champion with the Windsor Spitfires and an NHLPA-certified player agent, Nother has been actively involved in shaping the club’s hockey operations direction since assuming leadership of the franchise. His expanded role comes following the departure of longtime General Manager Dale DeGray, who was named General Manager of the Niagara IceDogs last week.

Nother’s first major move as General Manager came on Tuesday when the Attack acquired veteran goaltender Ryerson Leenders from the Brantford Bulldogs, signalling the club’s intention to remain competitive heading into the 2026-27 season.

The Attack are coming off a 2025-26 campaign that saw the club qualify for the OHL Playoffs and continue the development of a young core that includes several key returning players.

Nother was part of the ownership group that purchased the Attack from longtime owners Dr. Bob Severs, Peter MacDermid and Paul MacDermid. Upon completion of the transaction, he assumed leadership of the organization’s hockey strategy, player development initiatives and competitive direction.

The Owen Sound Attack have been members of the Ontario Hockey League since 2000, capturing the J. Ross Robertson Cup as OHL champions in 2011 and earning a reputation as one of the league’s most respected player development organizations.

The OHL trade window remains open through June 11 at 3:00 p.m. ahead of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore, taking place June 12-13 at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.
