1ST STAR: MATEJ PEKAR (BARRIE COLTS) – 3G, 2A
Buffalo Sabres prospect Matej Pekar banged in a pair of rebounds before completing his hat-trick on a rush down the wing, helping the Barrie Colts take a 7-4 win in Sault Ste. Marie. Pekar’s second hat-trick of the season ultimately resulted in a career-high five points as the 19-year-old had four shots on goal and a plus-2 rating. Buffalo’s fourth round pick in 2018, Pekar has 17 points (11-6–17) through 11 games this season, leading the Colts in shots on goal with 46.

2ND STAR: LUKE EVANGELISTA (LONDON KNIGHTS) – 3G, 1A
Luke Evangelista had a breakout afternoon in London, scoring the first three goals of his OHL career while tacking on an assist as the Knights defeated visiting Kingston 6-3. Evangelista, who entered play with seven assists on the campaign, got to work early with a pair of first period goals with help from linemate Connor McMichael before finishing his hat-trick midway through the third period. The 17-year-old from Oakville, Ont. has 11 points (3-8–11) through nine games this season. He was London’s first round (14th overall) pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.

3RD STAR: COLE PERFETTI (SAGINAW SPIRIT) – 2G, 2A
Top 2020 NHL Draft prospect Cole Perfetti had two goals and two assists as the Saginaw Spirit skated to their fourth straight win, defeating visiting Kitchener 5-3. Perfetti scored a pair of second period goals as the Spirit improved to a Western Conference-leading 8-4-1-0 record. The 17-year-old from Whitby, Ont. sits tied for second in OHL scoring with 24 points (5-19–24) over 13 games, with 10 of those points coming over his last three contests. The 5-foot-10, 180Ib centre was Saginaw’s first round (5th overall) pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. He was assigned an ‘A’ rating on NHL Central Scouting’s October ‘Players to Watch’ List.
