1ST STAR: BLAKE MURRAY (SUDBURY WOLVES) – 3G, 1A
Carolina Hurricanes prospect Blake Murray recorded his second career hat-trick as part of a four-point performance in the Sudbury Wolves’ 8-3 blowout of the Barrie Colts. The 18-year-old skater opened the scoring midway through the opening frame and scored the tying goal at the 6:43 point of the second period. He’d later find the empty net to extend his team’s lead to 6-3 and pitch in an assist to help overager David Levin add another just over a minute later. The Uxbridge, Ont. native owns a 69-point (33-36—69) total for third in Sudbury scoring over 61 games in his third OHL stint. Murray was the seventh overall pick of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection and was chosen by Carolina in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft.

2ND STAR: DECLAN CHISHOLM (PETERBOROUGH PETES) – 4A
Winnipeg Jets pick Declan Chisholm put up four assists in his Peterborough Petes’ 8-0 blanking of the Hamilton Bulldogs. The 20-year-old defender added help on a pair of goals from Brady Hinz as well as markers from Liam Kirk and Semyon Der-Arguchintsev. The Bowmanville, Ont. native’s second four-point performance of the season places him at 65 points (11-54—65) on the year. Chisholm was picked up by the Petes in the second around of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection and was selected by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft.

3RD STAR: BLADE JENKINS (SAGINAW SPIRIT) – 2G, 1A
New York Islanders pick Blade Jenkins scored a pair of goals and added an assist to extend his point streak to eight games and help the Saginaw Spirit skate past the Mississauga Steelheads 6-2 Thursday morning. The 19-year-old Jackson, Mich. native struck early in the second period and midway through the final frame before connecting with fellow Islanders prospect Cole Coskey for his 32nd goal of the season. The centreman holds 39 points (19-23—39) over 45 games in his third season with the Spirit. He was the fourth overall pick of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection and was scooped up in the fifth round by the Islanders in the 2018 NHL Draft.
