1ST STAR: JUSTIN BRAZEAU (NORTH BAY BATTALION):
Justin Brazeau brought his A-game, completing a hat-trick 3:36 into overtime with help from Brad Chenier and Nick King to bring the North Bay Battalion back from a 4-2 deficit to defeat the visiting Flint Firebirds 5-4. Brazeau’s third of the night and 48th of the season pushed him ahead of Cody Hodgson for third on the Battalion all-time goal-scoring list, giving him 115 on his OHL career. The 21-year-old from New Liskeard, Ont. sits second in OHL scoring with 89 points (48-41–89) over 52 games and is in the midst of a five-game point streak. Brazeau attended rookie camp with the San Jose Sharks in September and remains unsigned by an NHL team.

2ND STAR: KYLE MAKSIMOVICH (OTTAWA 67’s):
Kyle Maksimovich is heating up with his new team. The overage winger scored twice and added an assist before netting a shootout goal to help the Ottawa 67’s increase their winning streak to nine games with a 4-3 shootout win in Peterborough. Maksimovich inches closer to the 300-point mark on his OHL career with a point in a seventh straight game. The 20-year-old from Hamilton, Ont. has 72 points (31-41–72) over 51 games between Ottawa and Erie this season. Maksimovich has 16 points (8-8–16) through his first 12 games with the 67’s. He attended training camp with the Chicago Blackhawks in September.

3RD STAR: ANTHONY SALINITRI (OSHAWA GENERALS):
Overage winger Anthony Salinitri picked up three assists on Thursday morning, helping the Oshawa Generals overcome the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-3 in a shootout. Salinitri has recorded three points or more on four different occasions in the past month, racking up a total of 71 points (38-33–71) this season over 52 games between Oshawa and Sarnia. The 20-year-old from Windsor, Ont. currently leads the OHL in shorthanded goals with seven and is currently in his fifth year in the league, sitting just three games from 300. Salinitri was a sixth round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2016 before going unsigned. He attended training camp with the Vancouver Canucks in September.
