1ST STAR: QUINTON BYFIELD (SUDBURY WOLVES) – 1G, 3A
Quinton Byfield recorded a career-high five-point game in his team’s 8-5 win over visiting Flint. The 6-foot-4 centreman registered four assists within the first two periods, and recorded a shorthanded empty-netter to seal the deal with a minute remaining. Byfield, a projected high pick in the upcoming 2020 NHL Draft, maintains his fourth-place slot in the OHL scoring race with 55 points (21-34-55) on the season, a total he shares with Hamilton’s Arthur Kaliyev. Byfield will join 11 other OHLers at Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp in Oakville from Dec. 9-12.

2ND STAR: DAWSON BAKER (KINGSTON FRONTENACS) – 3G
Dawson Baker earned his first career hat-trick and led his Kingston Frontenacs past the division rival Peterborough Petes in a 7-2 tilt Friday night. The 19-year-old scored just 43 seconds into action, and got his second of the night with 1:15 left in the second period. His third would conclude the game at the 12:34 marker of the third period. Baker, a product of Baltimore, Ont., now has 11 points (10-1-11) through 26 games with the Fronts in his fourth OHL season. The 6-foot winger was drafted by the Sudbury Wolves in the fourth round of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.

3RD STAR: NICO DAWS (GUELPH STORM) – 39 SV SO
Nico Daws stopped all 39 shots he faced in Guelph’s 4-0 blanking of the Barrie Colts on Friday, earning his league-leading fourth shutout of the campaign. Daws continues to lead all OHL goaltenders with a .941 save percentage and 2.00 goals-against average. The 18-year-old goaltender from Burlington, Ont. improves to 13-2-1-3 on the season. He’ll be heading to Oakville next week to take part in Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp.
