#StormCupTour heads east to Peterborough and Belleville
The J. Ross Robertson Cup made its way east of the GTA this past weekend, paying visits to Peterborough’s Cedric Ralph and Belleville’s Anthony Popovich and the two veterans couldn’t have asked for better weather.
Ralph started the weekend with a workout at his nearby gym, spending time with the trainers who helped him become an OHL champion. He then went on a little tour of Peterborough, visiting one of his minor hockey coaches as well as Riverview Manor, a long-term care home in the city. Ralph spent the rest of the day with family and friends and even got the Cup onto an inflatable rubber duck.
Ralph made the handoff to Popovich in Belleville on Saturday as the two stopped for a picture. Popovich got some great shots with the Cup beside the Bay of Quinte as well as in front of Belleville’s giant flower arrangement alongside the 401. He then spent time with family and friends, including his three young nieces who had a chance to pose with the Cup.
