Spitfires’ Ryan Struthers commits to STFX
The St. Francis Xavier University men’s hockey program has announced that Windsor Spitfires forward Ryan Struthers has committed for the 2024-25 season.
A 20-year-old from Milton, Ont., Struthers completed a three-year OHL tenure split between the Niagara IceDogs, Mississauga Steelheads and Windsor Spitfires, registering seven goals, 13 assists and 20 points in 138 regular season games played.
Selected by the IceDogs in the fifth round (82nd overall) of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, the 6-foot-1, 182-pound left winger will follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Matthew Struthers, at STFX, where Matthew spent three seasons with the blue and white.
