Spirit’s Wilde returns from Islanders organization
The New York Islanders announced via Twitter (@NYIslanders) on Monday that they’ve reassigned 20-year-old defenceman Bode Wilde to the Saginaw Spirit for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
Wilde, who was selected by the Islanders in the second round (41st overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft, has skated in 20 games with the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers this season, registering a pair of assists. The 6-foot-3, 190Ib. rearguard missed time to an ankle injury to begin the season and didn’t appear in game action until Nov. 16th.

The native of nearby Plymouth, Mich. was selected by the Spirit in the second round (35th overall) of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.
