(1) London Knights (55-11-2-0) vs. (5) Erie Otters (34-28-4-2)
The defending OHL champion London Knights continue their playoff push, cruising through the first round with a commanding 4-0 sweep of Owen Sound, outscoring the Attack 27-12. With a deep roster of returning champions and elite talent, the regular-season leaders now set their sights on a third straight trip to the Western Conference Final.
The Erie Otters remain without key defenceman Matthew Schaefer and captain Carey Terrance (Anaheim Ducks), but veteran forward Pano Fimis continues to lead the charge. He’s backed by a determined core that includes Chicago Blackhawks prospect Martin Misiak, who ranks among the league’s top post-season scorers. The Otters come off a five-game series triumph over the defending Memorial Cup champion Saginaw Spirit, and are aiming to return to the Conference Final for the first time since their 2017 championship run.
London and Erie’s last playoff clash went seven games back in 2017. We’ll see if this one can match that intensity.
