Otters’ Owain Johnston commits to STFX for 2024-25

The St. Francis Xavier University men’s hockey program has announced that Erie Otters overage defenceman Owain Johnston has committed for the 2024-25 season.

A 20-year-old from Toronto, Ont., Johnston completed a three-year OHL career with the Otters, registering nine goals, 41 assists and 50 points in 181 regular season games played. He added an additional four points in six playoff contests.

The 6-foot-1, 193lb. blueliner was selected by Erie in in the 11th round (206th overall) of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection.
