The OHL Friday Night Faceoff spotlight returns to The Aud this week as the Kitchener Rangers welcome the Saginaw Spirit in one of eight Friday night games across the league. Storm to retire Dustin Brown’s #32 on November 22nd: The Guelph Storm will honour Dustin Brown on November 22nd, raising his #32 banner to the rafters at the Sleeman Centre. The two-time Stanley Cup champion played 1,296 career NHL contests, all with the Los Angeles Kings between 2003-22 following a three-year career in Guelph from 2000-03. Read more
Frasca named Otters captain: The Erie Otters have named 19-year-old forward Gabriel Frasca captain. Joining him are alternates in forwards Dylan Edwards and Brett Hammond along with defencemen Tristen Trevino and Garrett Frazer. Read more
Spirit owner Dick Garber inducted into Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame: Saginaw Spirit owner Dick Garber has been officially inducted into the Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame. Thanks to Garber’s leadership and the dedicated efforts of the Spirit’s front office, the franchise has thrived. Through strategic marketing and deep community engagement, the Spirit have cultivated one of the most passionate fan bases in the OHL, welcoming nearly 2.5 million spectators since their inception. London, Kitchener to host World Junior pre-tournament action: The Kitchener Rangers and London Knights have jointly announced that they will each host a pre-tournament game between Canada and Sweden in advance of the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship this December. Read more

Bulldogs beef-up blueline with additions of Danford, Sandhu: The Brantford Bulldogs acquired a pair of veteran blueliners in a trade with the Oshawa Generals, bringing in Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Ben Danford and overager Zackary Sandhu. Read more
Royston, Dec swap places in Otters, Attack trade: The Owen Sound Attack and Erie Otters swapped 2007-born forwards last week, with the Bears acquire 6-foot-4 winger Wesley Royston in exchange for offensive sparkplug Michael Dec. Read more
IceDogs sign defenceman Blake Barnes: The Niagara IceDogs have signed defenceman Blake Barnes to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The 2006-born blueliner from Northville, Michigan joins the Dogs after spending 2024-25 with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL. Barnes has two assists in four games with the IceDogs so far this season. Bulldogs sign pair of free agents: The Brantford Bulldogs announced the signings of free agent forwards Joey Banas and Joey Sinclair this week. Banas, of Buffalo, NY, is a 17-year-old currently with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres of the OJHL, producing 36 points (14-22–36) over 21 games. Sinclair, who attended training camp with the Sarnia Sting, is an 18-year-old from Hamilton, ON who has registered 20 points (7-13–20) over 14 games with the BCHL’s Sherwood Park Crusaders. Petes partner with MADD for Thursday night tilt with Bulldogs: The Peterborough Petes have partnered with MADD Canada for their game against the Brantford Bulldogs on Thursday, November 5. The game is designed to raise awareness and funds supporting the victims and survivors of impaired driving. Activations for the game will include in-game reads, a MADD Canada concourse booth, a ceremonial puck drop, videoboard commercials, and a pass the bucket with proceeds in support of MADD Canada.
Wolves host Shoresy Night on Friday: The Sudbury Wolves will suit up as the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs for their Friday night matchup with the Barrie Colts. Friday’s game is the fourth instalment of Shoresy Night with the Wolves. This year, the Wolves will be wearing a new design of the Blueberry Bulldogs jersey, with all game-worn and game-issued jerseys being available through online auction via Dash. All proceeds will go towards Play It Forward, helping underprivileged kids grow and develop through sports.
Rangers welcome Peter DeBoer to Level of Legacy Friday night: The Kitchener Rangers take on the Saginaw Spirit on Friday at The Aud, adding Peter DeBoer as the first name on the club’s Level of Legacy before puckdrop. The most successful GM and coach in Rangers history, DeBoer led the team to two OHL Championships (2003 & 2008) and a Memorial Cup (2003). He’s spent 22 seasons as a Head Coach in the NHL.
Spitfires salute Remembrance Day, host Ghostbusters Night: The Windsor Spitfires have a pair of upcoming home games, remembering our Troops on Thursday at the WFCU Centre on Thursday as part of the club’s Remembrance Day game. Saturday night features Ghostbusters Night, which brings paranormal fun to the WFCU Centre with themed entertainment, giveaways and maybe a few ghosts in the stands!
Firebirds host Pucks Four Paws, Military Appreciation Night: The Flint Firebirds host back-to-back home games with the North Bay Battalion in town for Pucks Four Paws Night on Friday followed by Military Appreciation Night featuring the Guelph Storm on Saturday. Rangers don Remembrance Day jerseys on Sunday: The Kitchener Rangers have a long-standing tradition of wearing special Remembrance Day jerseys in support of local military charities. Each year, the Rangers pay tribute to members of the Canadian Forces by wearing commemorative jerseys that reflect moments of courage and sacrifice in our nation’s history. Kadri plays 1000th NHL game: Former London Knights and Kitchener Rangers forward Nazem Kadri played in his 1000th NHL game on Wednesday, scoring as the Calgary Flames defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-1. The 35-year-old from London, ON is in the midst of his 16th NHL season and fourth with the Flames, producing 311 goals, 410 assists and 721 points over the course of his career. Kadri won a Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2022. He was an OHL champion with the Kitchener Rangers in 2008 and was eventually chosen seventh overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2009 NHL Draft.
Winterton scores first NHL goal: Former Hamilton Bulldogs and London Knights forward Ryan Winterton scored his first career NHL goal on Wednesday as the Seattle Kraken fell 6-1 to the San Jose Sharks. The 22-year-old Winterton is a former OHL champion with Hamilton, and won a Western Conference title with London in 2023. He has two points (1-1–2) through 13 games with Seattle this season after recording 37 points (18-19–37) in 56 games with the AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds last season.
Dvorsky pots first NHL goal: Former Sudbury Wolves forward Dalibor Dvorsky scored his first career NHL goal on Monday as the St. Louis Blues defeated the Edmonton Oilers 3-2. The 20-year-old Dvorsky spent the 2023-24 season in the OHL, being named a first team all-star with 88 points (45-43–88) over 52 games. St. Louis’ first round (10th overall) pick in the 2023 NHL Draft registered 45 points (21-24–45) over 61 games in his first pro season with the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds last year. The native of Zvolen, Slovakia has appeared in four games with the Blues so far this season.
Lardis named AHL Rookie of the Month: Reigning OHL goal-scoring champion Nick Lardis of the Rockford IceHogs is the AHL Rookie of the Month, recording 12 points (4-8–12) over eight October contests. The 20-year-old Lardis comes off a 71-goal season with the Brantford Bulldogs in 2024-25, recording 117 points (71-46–117) over 65 games. The Oakville, ON native was Chicago’s third round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
Young to be inducted into AHL Hall of Fame: Former Kitchener Rangers netminder Wendell Young, who won an OHL championship with the Blueshirts in 1982, has been named to the AHL’s Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Young is currently in his 32nd season as a member of the Chicago Wolves organization, following a decorated playing career with a successful run as one of hockey’s leading executives. Since the team’s move to the AHL in 2001, Young has been instrumental in winning Calder Cup titles as Chicago’s director of team relations (2002), assistant coach (2008) and general manager (2022).
