OHL Power Rankings: Oct. 27, 2025
Who’s up:
Kitchener Rangers – up two spots to #3 this week
The Rangers picked up five of a possible six points last week, defeating Flint, losing to Barrie in overtime and prevailing over North Bay. Colorado Avalanche prospect Christian Humphreys has been a steady producer with seven points (2-5–7) over three outings last week. Captain Cameron Reid has also found his offensive touch with six points (1-5–6) to his credit over that span.
Niagara IceDogs – up five spots to #4 this week
The IceDogs were 3-0 with a pair of wins over Brampton while also defeating the Kingston Frontenacs 4-1. Kevin He had himself a hat-trick on Sunday while Ryan Roobroeck and Riley Patterson are also producing. First-year blueliner Ben Reisnecker has found a home on the power play. The big Czech defender is eligible for the 2026 NHL Draft.
London Knights – up three spots to #5 this week
The Knights have put their slow start in the rearview mirror, going 7-0-2-0 over their last nine games. Sam O’Reilly (6-6–12), Ben Wilmott (6-5–11) and Jared Woolley (5-6–11) have all produced at over a point-per-game.
Flint Firebirds – up three spots to #10 this week
The Firebirds have been stingy defensively, with three shutouts already this season. The Firebirds lost to Kitchener before defeating Erie and Owen Sound. Michigan product Darian Anderson has been a welcome addition, with six points (3-3–6) through his first six games.
Guelph Storm – up four spots to #11 this week
The Storm beat a pair of top-seven opponents last week with home wins over Kingston and Ottawa. The combination of Carter Stevens (7-7–14) and rookie Jaakko Wycisk (7-6–13) has been a good one for Guelph as they get a shot in the arm with the return of Jett Luchanko from the Philadelphia Flyers.
Saginaw Spirit – up two spots to #15 this week
The Spirit return to the Power Rankings, rattling off three straight wins over Erie, Owen Sound and Windsor. Sunday’s win saw the Spirit come from behind in Windsor, beating the second-ranked Spitfires courtesy a hat-trick and shootout winner from 2027 NHL Draft prospect Dimian Zhilkin.
Sudbury Wolves – up one spot to #16 this week
The veteran duo of Kieron Walton and Nathan Villeneuve teamed-up to help the Wolves beat Barrie and Peterborough last week, putting Sudbury on the power rankings for the first time this season. The 4-8-1-0 Wolves have won three of their last four.
Who’s down:
Owen Sound Attack – down three spots to #6 this week
The Bears had a weekend to forget, losing to Windsor, Saginaw and Flint on a West Division road trip. Tristan Delisle has recorded a point in all 15 games so far this season, leading the Attack with 21 points (6-15–21).
Soo Greyhounds – down three spots to #7 this week
The Greyhounds dropped consecutive home losses against Erie and Peterborough. Brady Martin had an assist in his season debut on Friday after starting the season with the NHL’s Nashville Predators.
Kingston Frontenacs – down two spots to #8 this week
The Frontenacs dropped decisions on the road, losing in Guelph and Niagara. Rookie forward Nolan Snyder had a productive weekend with four points (1-3–4).
Ottawa 67’s – down two spots to #9 this week
After starting hot, the Barber Poles have cooled off with losses in Windsor, London and Guelph. They’ve only allowed 34 goals in 13 games but have the league’s second-worst penalty kill at 67.6%.
North Bay Battalion – down two spots to #12 this week
The Troops beat Peterborough in overtime before falling to Brampton and Kitchener on the road. Goals have been hard to come by for the Battalion, with rookies Ryder Cali (7-4–11) and Cam Warren (3-8–11) leading the team on the scoresheet.
Barrie Colts – down one spot to #13 this week
The Colts lost to Sudbury before defeating Kitchener in overtime at home on Saturday night, with Cole Beaudoin scoring the game-winner. Wednesday presents a good test as the Colts visit the Brantford Bulldogs.
Oshawa Generals – down three spots to #14 this week
The Gennies dropped consecutive outings against first place Brantford, missing defenceman Simon Wang for both games as he serves a suspension.
Brampton Steelheads – down three spots and off the list this week
The Steelheads were overmatched against the Niagara IceDogs, being outscored 11-4 in a pair of losses. The Trout defeated North Bay 2-1 on Saturday, with a 37-save performance from Zach Bowen. Brampton is on the road this week, visiting Ottawa on Wednesday before getting another shot against Niagara on Friday.
Peterborough Petes – down one spot and off the list this week
The Petes lost in overtime in North Bay, won in overtime in Sault Ste. Marie and dropped a forgettable 8-2 final in Sudbury on Sunday. They try and close out October with a win when they play host to the London Knights on Thursday.
