OHL Power Rankings: Feb. 16, 2026
Who’s up:
Kitchener Rangers – up one spot to #2 this week
The Rangers had a successful week, starting with Tuesday’s 5-2 win over rival London that starred former Knight Sam O’Reilly coming through for his new team. The Rangers hit the road and took five of six points, defeating Kingston and Ottawa before falling in a shootout to Peterborough. Jack Pridham (35-36–71) and Christian Humphreys (22-49–71) are tied for the team lead in scoring.
Brantford Bulldogs – up one spot to #3 this week
The Bulldogs are working their way back up the list, having spent much of the season in the #1 spot. The Bulldogs had some lighter competition this week, defeating bottom-half teams in Erie, Guelph and Kingston. OHL goal-scoring leader Marek Vanacker is up to 39 on the season. Caleb Malhotra is also the highest-scoring rookie in Bulldogs history with his 68 points (26-42–68).
Windsor Spitfires – up two spots to #5 this week
The West Division triple threat between Windsor, Flint and Sault Ste. Marie continues to bring new results each week, with the Spits climbing into the driver’s seat following wins over Sarnia, and two against Saginaw. The Spitfires and Firebirds enter the week tied atop the West Division standings. Carson Woodall continues to lead OHL defencemen in scoring with 56 points (10-46–56).
London Knights – up one spot to #7 this week
After being stuck in the #8 spot for four consecutive weeks, the Knights are moving on up, scoring a key shootout win over the Soo Greyhounds to leapfrog them on the power rankings. London’s week started with losses to Kitchener and Guelph. They wrapped things up with a 6-2 triumph over Owen Sound on Monday that featured two goals and two assists from Cohen Bidgood. Ryan Brown (13 games) and Jesse Nurmi (11 games) both continued their respective point streaks on Family Day. The push for home ice advantage is on, with the Knights currently trailing the Greyhounds by three points in that race.
Peterborough Petes – up one spot to #9 this week
The Petes soundly defeated Ottawa 7-3, lost to struggling Oshawa 8-4 and ended the weekend with a 3-2 shootout win over the Kitchener Rangers. They’re without key forwards Adam Levac and Braydon McCallum for a lengthy stretch due to suspensions, but continue to get top notch goaltending from Easton Rye, who earned his 30th win on Monday. The Petes have won five of their last six.
North Bay Battalion – up three spots to #10 this week
The Battalion bested Brampton twice, book-ending a 9-1 rout of the Niagara IceDogs at home on Sunday that featured two goals and three assists from Ethan Procyszyn. Jack Lisson has been a workhorse in the North Bay crease, starting eight consecutive games before rookie Cole Vreugdenhil stepped-in to make 31 saves for the win over Brampton on Family Day. Kaden Pitre has proven to be a reliable deadline add for the Troops, with his 27 points (11-16–27) over 26 games since coming over from the Flint Firebirds.
Sudbury Wolves – up one spot to #11 this week
The Wolves fell 4-2 to Sault Ste. Marie before beating both Brampton and Niagara on home ice. LA Kings prospect Jan Chovan pumped home a hat-trick on Monday as the Wolves are making things interesting post-deadline, holding a seven-point lead over Brampton for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Wolves are in Saginaw, Flint and London this week.
Guelph Storm – up three spots to #14 this week
The Stormers climb back onto the list following a two week hiatus. Guelph beat London 4-2, lost to both Flint and Brantford before defeating the Erie Otters 5-1 on Monday. Rookie forward Jaakko Wycisk is heating up with six goals over his last six games. Guelph visits Sarnia, Sault Ste. Marie and Saginaw this week.
Saginaw Spirit – up two spots to #15 this week
The Saginaw Spirit lost their last two games, but had enough to make their way back onto the list with victories over rival Flint and previously ranked Sarnia. When the Spirit hit the ice, chances are the score is going to be high either way and that proved true over the past week with the talented trio of Egor Barabanov, Dimian Zhilkin and Nikita Klepov all putting up numbers. The Spirit are positioned seventh in the Western Conference, three points back of Guelph and one up on Owen Sound.
Who’s down:
Ottawa 67’s – down two spots to #4 this week
The Barber Poles beat Oshawa 6-0 before having their hands full in losses to Peterborough, Kitchener and Barrie. Monday’s showdown with the Colts was a #1 vs. #2 power rankings matchup, with the 67’s coming up short in an 8-5 loss. The 67’s have lost three straight in regulation for just the second time this season. They try and get things straightened out at home against Niagara and North Bay this week.
Flint Firebirds – down one spot to #6 this week
The Firebirds suffered their first loss of the season to Saginaw, beat Guelph, lost to struggling Erie and blanked the Oshawa Generals 5-0 as Mason Vaccari earned his 30th win of the season on Family Day. It was a week of mixed results for the ‘Birds, who are currently tied with Windsor atop the West Division. Kevin He is on a current nine-game goal-scoring streak as Flint prepares to host the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday night. Nathan Aspinall continues to lead OHL scoring with 77 points (28-49–77) through 53 games.
Soo Greyhounds – down two spots to #8 this week
The Hounds drop a spot, mixing wins over Sudbury and Owen Sound with shootout losses to London and Sarnia. The good news is that Brady Martin returned on Sunday, February 8th, the bad news is it was only for one game. The club’s other Martin, Jeremy, is picking up the slack with goals in eight straight games. The Hounds continue to find ways to earn points, riding a five-game point streak into a week that features home dates against Sarnia and Guelph.
Kingston Frontenacs – down one spot to #12 this week
The Frontenacs went 0-3, but faced a gauntlet of a schedule with games against Barrie, Kitchener and Brantford. Landon Marleau, the son of NHL legend Patrick, made his OHL debut in Monday’s 3-2 loss to Brantford. The Fronts enter a new week five points back of sixth place Niagara in the Eastern Conference, with a date with the IceDogs approaching on the schedule.
Niagara IceDogs – down four spots to #13 this week
It was one to forget for the IceDogs, who lost to Guelph, beat Owen Sound and then had a miserable time up north, being outscored 15-3 in losses to North Bay and Sudbury. The Dogs have lost their most dangerous offensive weapon with NHL Draft prospect Ryan Roobroeck sidelined. They’re back on the road in Ottawa and Kingston this week.
Sarnia Sting – down two spots to #16 this week
The Sting barely held on to their spot on this week’s list, with the Erie Otters hot on their heels. A valiant 6-5 shootout win over the Soo Greyhounds on Family Day salvaged the week, as Sting fans got a taste of recent addition Logan Hawery, who netted the shootout winner. The playoff chase continues, with Sarnia trailing eighth place Owen Sound by six points.
Owen Sound Attack – down two spots and off the list this week
The Attack are in a bit of a free-fall right now, losing to Erie, Niagara, Sault Ste. Marie and London to lose their spot on the rankings. It doesn’t get any easier, with the Bears visiting red hot Barrie on Thursday. In positive news, overage veteran Noah Nelson returned to the lineup this past week.
Brampton Steelheads – down one spot and off the list this week
The Trout surrendered 60 shots and lost in a shootout to North Bay to begin the week before falling to Sudbury and the same Battalion squad to finish 0-3. With Sudbury continuing to collect points, Brampton’s playoff hopes are fading as they sit seven points back of the Wolves with 15 games to go.
