OHL Power Rankings: Dec. 1, 2025
Who’s up:
Ottawa 67’s – up one spot to #1 this week
For the first time since Oct. 13th, a team not named the Brantford Bulldogs holds the top spot in the OHL Power Rankings. The 67’s have won 12 of their last 14 games, with Oshawa and North Bay coming as their latest casualties. The Barber Poles are three points back of Brantford in the East Division.
Guelph Storm – up two spots to #10 this week
After four straight losses, the Storm responded with home wins over Windsor and Sudbury over the weekend. Friday’s win showed the team’s resolve as they dug out of a 4-2 hole against the West Division-leading Spitfires, coming back to win 5-4 behind a pair of goals from Leo Serlin. Carter Stevens and Simon Belohorsky each provided a pair in Sunday’s 6-2 victory over Sudbury.
North Bay Battalion – up two spots to #12 this week
The Troops beat both Peterborough and Kingston on the road before dropping a 6-3 decision in Ottawa on Sunday. The Troops are trending the right way with points in seven of their last nine games. Kaden Pitre had a strong Battalion debut weekend with four points (2-2–4) over his first three games.
Brampton Steelheads – up three spots to #13 this week
The Trout did what nobody else has been able to do – defeat the Brantford Bulldogs in regulation. Gabriel Chiarot scored the deciding marker with 14 seconds remaining as the Steelheads beat the Bulldogs 2-1 on Friday night. This win followed a 5-2 triumph over Erie on Wednesday. The Steelheads earned a point to close out the week Saturday afternoon, falling 2-1 in overtime to Sudbury. Zach Bowen is the Mary Brown’s Chicken OHL Goaltender of the Week, stopping 70-of-73 shots.
Oshawa Generals – up one spot to #16 this week
Despite being 20th in the OHL standings, the Generals had themselves quite the week, playing the top-ranked Ottawa 67’s to a 2-1 outcome on Friday night before defeating the league-leading Brantford Bulldogs 5-4 on Sunday. Jaden Cholette continues to be a rock in the crease, having made 14 consecutive starts. The Generals head north, visiting Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury next weekend.
Who’s down:
Brantford Bulldogs – down one spot to #2 this week
The Bulldogs finally hit some turbulence, losing the top spot on the power rankings after a 23-game run of undefeated hockey in regulation. The Dogs lost in regulation to both Brampton and Oshawa, book-ending a 4-3 win over the Kitchener Rangers on Saturday. St. Louis Blues first round pick Adam Jiricek carried 13-game point streak on the blueline that came to an end on Sunday.
Peterborough Petes – down one spot to #11 this week
The Petes dropped back-to-back contests in losses to North Bay and Erie before rebounding to defeat the Niagara IceDogs 6-3 on Saturday. Top 2026 NHL Draft prospect Adam Novotny scored twice in Saturday’s win, and leads Peterborough with 29 points (16-13–29) over 26 games.
Kingston Frontenacs – down three spots to #14 this week
The Fronts are in a bit of a spiral, having lost their last six games. Kingston has struggled to generate offence, losing 4-1 and 2-1 to North Bay and Barrie before a 7-3 loss in Owen Sound on Sunday. The road doesn’t get easier, with matchups against Brantford, Flint and Barrie this week.
Niagara IceDogs – down four spots and off the list this week
The IceDogs are out of the power ranking as their losing streak hit nine games on Sunday. Niagara fell to Kitchener and Niagara by scores of 6-3. Their power play is tied with Kingston for last in the OHL, operating at 14%.
