Ottawa Takes Over Top Spot in OHL Standings
With goals from six different players in Saturday’s 6-0 win over the Brantford Bulldogs, the Ottawa 67’s leapfrogged them to claim first place in the OHL at 25-7-1-1. Rookie goaltender Ryder Fetterolf stopped all 19 shots he faced for his third shutout of the season, earning Goaltender of the Week and helping Ottawa enter the break on a six‑game winning streak.

Flint Firebirds Stay Red-Hot
After opening the season 5-4-1-0, the Western Conference-leading Flint Firebirds have gone an impressive 19-3-1-2, heading into the break with points in seven straight games. Alex Kostov heads home for the holidays riding a 17‑game point streak, while captain Nathan Aspinall capped a standout first half with a league‑leading 51 points (22-29–51) in 32 games. Mason Vaccari’s 19 wins also lead all OHL goaltenders.

Joey Costanzo Sets Spitfires Franchise Record
Overage netminder Joey Costanzo stopped 27 of 29 shots on Thursday as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Soo Greyhounds 6-2, earning his franchise‑record 87th career victory. He passes Michael DiPietro (2015-19) for the most wins by a Spitfires goaltender.

Ethan Miedema Reaches Historic Milestone
On Thursday, Guelph Storm forward Ethan Miedema became the first player born in the 2000s to skate in his 300th career OHL regular‑season game.

Anthony Cristoforo Switches It Up

Double Goaltending Debut in Sudbury-Guelph Matchup
Friday’s game between Sudbury and Guelph featured OHL debuts in both creases. Paolo Frasca stopped 38 of 40 shots to earn the win for the Wolves, while Cruz Reznik made 22 saves for the Storm.

Evan Headrick Makes Impact in Debut

Gens Score Three Goals in 47 Seconds
Despite a 6-4 loss to Saginaw on Saturday, the Oshawa Generals erupted for three goals in just 47 seconds during the second period, with tallies from Porter Byrd-Leitner, Harrison Franssen, and Aiden O’Donnell.

2026 IIHF World Junior Pre‑Tournament Action Begins
