OHL News – Radio Edition with host Terry Doyle and presented by Bauer returns for the 2018-19 regular season bringing fans insight from feature guests as well as news and notes from around the league each and every week over the airwaves.
This week’s segment features OHL alumnus Nathan Chiarlitti who played five seasons in the league including four with the Sarnia Sting and one with the Owen Sound Attack ending in 2013.
The now 26-year-old from Maple, Ont., is a Medical School student at the University of Ottawa after using his OHL Education Package at St. Francis Xavier and McGill University while playing U Sports Men’s Hockey. Following the 2017-18 season he was named to the prestigious Google Cloud Academic All-America Team, a distinction awarded by the College Sports Information Directors of America. In the OHL, the fifth round pick in the 2008 Priority Selection played a total of 313 career regular season games, collecting 15 goals, 72 assists and 87 points along the way.
Chiarlitti chats with Doyle about the thrill of Medical School acceptance, his commitment to education as a student athlete, his experiences in U Sports Men’s Hockey and briefly playing pro in Australia, and how his OHL Scholarship Package helped him achieve his goals on and off the ice.
