OHL Friday Night Faceoff: Saginaw at Kitchener

The OHL Friday Night Faceoff spotlight returns to The Aud this week as the Kitchener Rangers welcome the Saginaw Spirit in one of eight Friday night games across the league. Fans can watch the action live and free on FloHockey’s YouTube, X, and Facebook channels, as well as the OHL’s Facebook page and the pages of both participating teams. Puck drop is set for 7:00 pm.

The Saginaw Spirit bring plenty of offensive firepower into Kitchener, led by reigning OHL Rookie of the Month Nikita Klepov. The dynamic forward will represent the CHL at the upcoming CHL/USA Prospects Challenge, joined by talented linemates Egor Barabanov and Dima Zhilkin. Rookie defenceman Levi Harper has also been a standout early in his first OHL season, as one to watch on the Spirit blue line.

On the other side, the Rangers are riding a wave of confidence after back-to-back shutouts from their goaltending tandem of Colorado Avalanche prospect Christian Kirsch and Jason Schaubel, who each recorded their first career OHL shutouts last weekend. Up front, NHL-drafted forwards Christian Humphreys and Jack Pridham continue to lead the way offensively, driving a Kitchener attack that has been among the league’s most balanced through the early part of the season.

A pair of talented lineups collide Friday at The Aud as the Spirit and Rangers square off in front of one of the OHL’s most passionate fanbases.
