Monday Highlights: Kartye’s hat trick helps Hounds take down Sting

– Seattle Kraken prospect Tye Kartye scored three times, increasing his season goal-scoring total to 40 as the Soo Greyhounds were all over the Sarnia Sting.
– Rookie Owen Allard had two goals and an assist while Jordan D’Intino joing Kalvyn Watson with a goal and a helper.
– Ryan Mast and Theo Hill scored Sarnia goals.
– The Hounds stormed out of the gate with four first period goals and outshot the Sting 39-30, going 3-for-6 on the power play.
– Samuel Ivanov stopped 28 of 30 for the win.
– The Greyhounds improve to 35-21-6-1 for fourth place in the Western Conference.
– Sarnia falls to 25-32-4-1 following their seventh straight loss. They trail Erie by one point for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
