JONAH DE SIMONE (NIAGARA ICEDOGS):
Niagara IceDogs rookie Jonah De Simone‘s first OHL goal stood as the game winner in a 3-0 win over the visiting Peterborough Petes. The 16-year-old from Richmond Hill, Ont. teamed up with Mississauga Reps Minor Midget teammate Jake Uberti 8:57 into the first period as the latter picked-off a turnover to feed the former who beat Peterborough’s Hunter Jones under the glove. De Simone’s first OHL goal comes in his 10th game of the season. He was Niagara’s fourth round pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.
