Milestone Moments: Dec. 10/17
American-born talents in Andrew Perrott (London Knights) and Jake Goldowski (Saginaw Spirit) scored their first career OHL goal on Sunday. Here’s a look at those milestone markers.
ANDREW PERROTT (LONDON KNIGHTS):
Rookie London Knights defenceman Andrew Perrott snapped home his first OHL goal on Sunday, getting assists from Max Jones and Cliff Pu with 2:10 remaining in the second period. The Knights went on to defeat the visiting Erie Otters 6-2 as Perrott’s goal stood as the game winner. The 16-year-old from Columbia Station, OH, is the son of former OHL forward and NHL veteran Nathan Perrott and was London’s second round pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
JAKE GOLDOWSKI (SAGINAW SPIRIT):
Newly acquired Saginaw Spirit rookie Jake Goldowski needed just four games to score his first OHL goal, doing so 5:49 into Sunday’s road win over the Oshawa Generals. Marcus Crawford and Damien Giroux assisted on the goal that saw Goldowski tip a point shot past Oshawa goaltender Kyle Keyser in the eventual 3-1 win. Saginaw’s fourth round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection, the 17-year-old Thornhurst, PA native spent the first part of this season with the U.S. National Development Program’s U18 team.
