Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Maroon has officially retired from the National Hockey League, concluding a 14-season professional career.
Originally selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth round (161st overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft, the 36-year-old recorded 323 points (126 goals, 197 assists) in 848 regular-season games with the Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, and Chicago Blackhawks.
