Greyhounds’ Fantino commits to Toronto Metropolitan University
The Toronto Metropolitan University Bold men’s hockey program has announced that former Soo Greyhounds forward Julian Fantino has committed for the 2024-25 season.
A 20-year-old from Woodbridge, Ont., Fantino concluded a three-year OHL tenure split between the Owen Sound Attack and Soo Greyhounds. Appearing in 58 games with the Greyhounds last season, the 6-foot, 198lb. right-winger tallied 12 goals and 10 assists. Fantino accumulated 27 goals, 34 assists and 61 points over 178 career regular season games, adding eight points (5-3–8) over 15 career OHL playoff games.
Fantino was originally selected by Owen Sound in the eighth round (150th overall) of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.
