Frontenacs sign first round U18 selection Max Shewfelt
Kingston, Ontario – The Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club is excited to announce the signing of forward Max Shewfelt to an OHL Scholarship and Development agreement following 2024 training camp.
Max Shewfelt was a first-round pick by the Frontenacs in the 2024 OHL U18 Priority Selection. He had an outstanding season as the captain of the Ottawa Myers Automotive AAA U18 team scoring 19 goals and 18 assists in 30 games. Originally born in Kitchener, the 5’ 11”, 172 lbs. left winger grew up playing minor hockey in the Ottawa area.
“Max had a big U18 season.” said General Manager, Kory Cooper. “He is a strong skater and came to camp showing that he can make the jump to the next level. We have high hopes for his future with our organization.”
Shewfelt registered an assist in the Frontenacs’ preseason victory over the Ottawa 67’s.
