Frontenacs finalize 2021-22 scouting staff
Kingston, ON – The Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club has finalized its scouting staff for the 2021-22 season.
The staff will be led by returning Head Scout Aaron Van Leusen. Aaron joined the Frontenacs as the “Golden Horseshoe Region” scout for the 2010-11 season. In August of 2017 he was named Head Scout and has held that title ever since.
Also returning to the scouting staff are:
Dick Cherry – Kingston Area
Colin Chaulk – Greater Toronto Area
Adam Dewan – Ottawa Area
Brent Gauvreau – Northern Ontario Area
Zach Springer – Special Ops Scout
Bob Breckles – Midget & Tier 2 Free Agents
New additions to this year’s scouting staff include:
Pat Powers – Alliance Scout
Andrew Nebiolo – Bantam Scout
“We are happy to have Head Scout Aaron Van Leusen continue with that role.” said General Manager Kory Cooper. “We have returned a hardworking staff that has a keen eye for identifying talent. Pat Powers and Andrew Nebiolo are new additions to the staff. Pat brings a lot of experience in junior hockey from the London area in both recruiting and recognizing young talent. He joins the team following a successful stint as GM and Head Coach of the London Nationals. Andrew is an up-and-coming scout, and we feel he brings tremendous upside to our team. Our staff is excited to get back into rink and find future Kingston Frontenacs.”
Head Scout Aaron Van Leusen shared in Cooper’s excitement. “We are excited about the group we have. We are bringing back some familiar faces and have also added a couple of new scouts to round out our staff. Collectively there is a lot of experience and passion, and we cannot wait to get started.”
