Fifteen Past and Present OHL Players Named to Canada’s NJT Training Camp Roster
TORONTO – The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) is pleased to congratulate 15 past and present OHL players on being named to Hockey Canada’s National Junior Team Training Camp roster ahead of the 2026 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship to be held in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota from December 26 to January 5.
The training camp roster features a total of 11 players currently competing in the OHL along with an additional four OHL alumni who are in the NHL or NCAA ranks. A total of five players from last year’s Canadian National Junior Team are included on the roster.
Training camp takes place at the Gale Centre in Niagara Falls, ON from December 12-22. The National Junior Team will then take part in a three-game pre-tournament schedule ahead of the World Juniors that features games against Sweden at The Aud in Kitchener (Wednesday, December 17, 7:00pm) and Canada Life Place in London (Saturday, December 20, 7:00pm).
Individual game tickets start at $40 (plus applicable fees and taxes) and can be purchased at HockeyCanada.ca/Tickets.
All of Canada’s practices and game-day skates in during training camp in Niagara Falls will be open to the public, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Canada looks to return to the top of the podium for the first time since they last won gold in 2023. The United States claimed gold medals in both 2024 and 2025.
