Brady Stonehouse returns to 67’s
A Blenheim, Ont., native, Stonehouse has appeared in 200 regular-season games with the 67’s over three seasons, recording 136 points (75-61-136), including a career-high 37 goals in 2022-23. He has also contributed nine points (4-5-9) in 25 playoff games. Originally selected by Ottawa in the second round (26th overall) of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, Stonehouse signed with the Oilers as an undrafted free agent on October 5, 2023 and attended their training camp in each of the past two years.
“I’m excited, but a little nervous,” Stonehouse admitted. “It has been a long six months, so I’m excited to get back to doing what I love.”
Returning after a six-month injury absence, Stonehouse is expected to energize the 67’s offense as they take on the Brampton Steelheads tonight at TD Place, where the team aims to extend their four-game point streak.
“I feel like I bring a lot of energy,” Stonehouse said. “I want to lead by example and be vocal. I feel good. I haven’t played in a while, but I’ve been looking forward to it.”
The Barber Poles have a light schedule this week, as they gear up for their lone game of the weekend tonight at 7:00pm.
