Attack sign fourth-round pick Harry Nansi
The Owen Sound Attack announced Tuesday that they’ve signed fourth-round 2023 OHL Priority Selection choice Harry Nansi to an OHL scholarship and development agreement.
A 6-foot-2, 174Ib. right-shot centre from Nepean, Ont., Nansi registered 21 goals, 26 assists and 47 points in 35 games for the Nepean Raiders U18 AAA program last season. He added 12 points (7-5–12) in 12 playoff outings. Nansi also won gold as a member of Team Ontario at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, PEI.
“Harry is a very skilled player. He’s got good size, he’s got great feet, he’s creative,” said Attack GM Dale DeGray in the OHL’s recent Futures Watch feature. “Offensively he’s right there with anybody in the draft. I think his game translates into the OHL very well and we’re excited to see him get into some games this year.”
Nansi put himself on the map early in 2022-23, setting a new HEO single-game record with eight points (6-2–8) in an 8-2 win for Nepean on September 26th, 2022.
Nansi becomes the fourth member of Owen Sound’s 2023 draft class to sign with the club following first-round choice Nico Addy, second-round pick Jake Crawford and third-round pick Gabriel Smith.
